So several months ago I emailed an attractive guy I saw at the gym saying I do free massages as a student and it was a referral from another client at the gym (not true) under a disguised name of course. There was no reply as expected.

Recently we ended up talking casually and found out he was a personal trainer. Ended up doing a copy training sessions with him. He ended up emailing back via the disguised name, curiously asking whom the referral was from to see if it was legit. Same day I ended up bumping into him, and given the initials being similar, he asked if I knew anything about it (of course I denied).

Any opinions about if he may be interested or up for more? What would you guys think is it interest in exploring or do you think he just wants to find out if it was me? What should I do if I do want to end up exploring massage as a possibility?

Thanks!

LOL...The whole thing started out as a lie. What could possibly go wrong.

Yea foresight would have helped. I was thinking about this and wasn't sure how to react other than to deny today because I was surprised he asked this question after so many months. It wasn't until I was alone and checked my email that I realized he responded just one hour prior. I understand this new thing is a lie, but my initial massage email was not entirely (fine with the referral part). When we finally spoke in person, he actually initiated the conversation, and after finding out he was a trainer, that prompted me to try a couple sessions.

Are you in fact a massage student or therapist?

If so you could always say you don't know who made the referral but you do do massages. I know of a female trainer at my gym who trades hours of training for hours of massage with a massage therapist so it's not unheard od.
