I go to UCLA medical for some health issues. My first visit there was in January. I was very impressed with the physician I saw. After our appointment, he walked me back to the waiting room and he spoke to the janitor by name, saying good morning whatever his name was, which I don’t remember. What impressed me was this physician who is brilliant, has many, many recognitions, spoke to the janitor by name. In my not so humble opinion, that says a lot about this physician.

A while ago, I was checking out at a drugstore. I put my items on the shelf and said to the cashier, good afternoon, how are you? She stopped what she was doing, looked me in the eye; and said thank you , you’re the first person who asked me how I was or said good afternoon today. I’m not posting this because I did what I did, I am posting it because it made someone feel better who is in a really menial, low paying job. It cost me nothing to be polite, and I think I made that cashier’s day a little more palatable.

I’m grateful that I’m enjoying a fulfilling retirement. I remind myself every day how lucky I am to be a 70 year old who lives a very nice, happy life. So many gay men of my generation died way too young; many before they were even 30 years old. I’m grateful I avoided an early death. I’m also thankful for my friend's whether we have been friends for sixty years or six months. Finally , I’m thankful for this website.

So have I. I don’t enjoy dressing up in costume. I am mildly amused sometimes if someone has a really creative costume. I did go to a Halloween party last week because I really like the host and hostess. Costumes were requested so I put on my tux and went as a maître d’. I know, not very original. Some people would say my gay card should be revoked. Oh well.

For the ones with the rainbow flag/logo. I can only speak for myself, but I have no problem spending money when I’m getting value, I rebel when I’m getting ripped off and 70 bucks for jockstraps is a rip off in my not so humble opinion. Others may have a different opinion, and so be it.

I had the pleasure of seeing Danny the other day. While the pictures are good, he looks even more phenomenal in person.

I had a three way yesterday. I received RSV, Covid, and Flu vaccinations.No side effects today other than my left arm is slightly sore.
