  1. Four freshmen in 1920. (before the orgy began?)
  2. Joe Dallesandro, a favorite model for Bob Mizer, Andy Warhol and Robert Maplethorpe.
  3. 1960s shirtless
  4. Cowboys or Gold Prospectors (from the early 20th Century?) What ever they are, the second from left, bottom row, looks like he got all the prizes.
  5. Young Sicilian men dancing by Konrad Helbig (1917 - 1986.) He was a German photographer, art historian and archaeologist.
  6. Man danced with men where there were no dames in the olden days. And nobody thought anything about it. Some thoughts below: A “Stag Dance” for Cowboys. It is a known fact that homosexual friendships were common among cowboys. This begs the question, in any all male community, especially in the past, such as military, religious, penal, educational, do sexual relationships form among men because no women are available, or do men seek to join such communities for the sexual opportunities? It may be both.
  7. Cowboys, late 19th century
  8. Rear view of four footballers from Royale Studios of London 1950/60s
  9. Three young undergraduates from the late 19th century. I don’t know what the one sat on the floor is up to, but he seems quite pleased.
  10. Bob McCune by Bruce of LA
  11. American sailor model - nice bulge (the background looks a little like a George Platt Lynes study) ca.1940/50s
  12. Beautiful Blond Model
  13. Lifeguards from roughly around 90 years ago, maybe a little less.
  14. Young Soldier
  15. Four British sailors in Gibraltar on Friday, September 10th 1920.
  16. English Sailors - South Africa, 1880/90′s
  17. Two Sailors in Love (Kinsey Institute Art Gallery) As some of you may know this well known picture of two young sailors is only the top half of the photograph. The full picture is highly erotic, and shows both with their navy trouser fly fully open. The man on the left is big, the one on the right is HUGE. (No wonder he’s got two stripes on his sleeve) (I've never personally seen the full picture though I've searched. Does anybody have it?)
  18. E.H. Garland by S.P. Andrew Ltd of Wellington, New Zealand in 1916.
  19. A bit out of focus, but more sailor love
  20. Sailor and his boyfriend
  21. That look of love maybe?
  22. Sailors in a meadow
  23. Sailor love in the photo booth
