As a member of the tribe, I once too had a taste for only kosher meat and preferably Glatt!! However a year in a Jewish enclave in NY and then five years in "Eretz haKadosh" (The "Holy" Land) was enough to make me sample the delights of eating trayf. And it was love at first bit too! It's Shegetz only for me from now on! The variety and delights of trefah is enormous and might even he cleaner if you can imagine that. I took to ham and Uncut pork sausage like a duck to water and a love for Fleishig and Milchig combined. Don't waste your time boys with kashrut, it always costs more and not necessarily better quality either! Just my 2 shekels here. 😉
