Are Spas taking walk-ins these days or is all by appointment only?

Hush, Energy, Why Not, Living Fresh, and Alpha are mostly appointment only. You may get lucky at Spa 27 if you walk in, but they’re usually booked solid as well. Your best bet is to just make an appointment.

  2. Just got in from HUSH, and I had my 2nd session (body scrub & lomi lomi) with Jay. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone who enjoys a thorough & relaxing massage with medium-hard pressure. And although I left extremely happy, that might not be the same situation for some of you. You can PM to find out why, or you can PM me for all the butt naked details of the session. ✌🏿️

Alexspot24 is not a spa per se. Alex works out of his apartment in Chelsea, and he offers massage as well as skin care and grooming services. He's skilled in all aspects, but it seems like his skincare and body grooming have become very popular, if you look at his Twitter account (@AlexSpot24).

I mostly go to him for waxing and he always does an amazing job. As a masseur, he is trained and provides a high-quality and very pleasurable massage.

The downside is he's become quite hard to book if you don't plan a few weeks in advance. He also goes to Miami frequently where he has begun to expand his business. Needless to say, glad he's doing well; I try to see him when I can.

I second this. He's very professional, a very nice guy, and very well trained. AND my favorite thing about him is, he makes sure you leave with a smile🤫

The 166 location gives me the creeps

I thought I was the only one. I went there to make an appointment since I was in the area, and I immediately got sketchy feels from the outside of the building, to the staircase up, and then once inside, the receptionist dude (who had two black eyes at the time) was giving me serious meth-head vibes. I was just like “Nevermind.”

Bigger but I heard it was very brightly lit with a steam room that the attendants can see into… also how are these places on a weekday morning?

You do realize, in all the time you’ve been spending on here to ask questions about the place, you could’ve just GONE and experienced it for yourself.. Just go!

So I went to king spa last week, after having heard good things about it, and having only been to spa castle.

There is no comparison between the two. That said, it depends on what you’re after.  King Spa is definitely more “traditional”, with  a ton of Korean customers, and all Korean staff.  It’s a legit Korean Spa experience… which I happen to love. There was definitely steam room action there but very different than spa castle.  It took forever for guys to start feeling comfortable and jerk off or something.  Jerking off was the extent of it…whereas at spa castle, guys are so bold, I’ve witnessed near full on gang bangs LOL.

ALSO, at king spa, the attendants do come in and check what’s going on periodically.

Here is the craziest part though.  At 5pm sharp, the sauna and steam room at king spa is closed…. It was literally 4:59pm, and the attendant came in swung the door open, lights on, everyone out…LOL.  It was like a mass exodus from the spa, to the point where the checkout line took 45 minutes to get through.

I think it’s so damn stupid for them to close the sauna and steam room down at 5pm, while still advertising themselves as a “24 hour facility”.

Has anyone been to King spa recently? I had a straight friend tell me he recently went (last time before the most recent visit was 2-3 years ago) and said the place felt like a gay bathhouse with dudes walking around with their junk hanging out and lots of play happening, no attendants in sight

That's a very accurate statement. The nude area monitors at King Spa have calmed down a bit. For a while, it was literally like prison, because they would come in and tell you that you're sitting to close to other guys, etc. But lately it's been like old times.

Thinking about heading to either one in the next couple weeks, anyone have any experience visiting either recently?

I've been to both, and in terms of "action", I'd go to Spa Castle because the crowd is more mixed. Black, White, Latino... King Spa is traditional Korean so that's mostly the crowd and the "monitors" in the men's section of King Spa come around every few seconds, which doesn't leave much room for anything fun.

I don’t see Mark listed on their website.

For whatever reason, a few of the guys who work there aren't listed on the site. Either they run through guys quickly, or they just don't update their site regularly.
