I recently had a massage at Energy Men Spa. The place is average in terms of facilities but will always hold a special place in my heart as it was one of the first spas I visited in NYC. It had been a while so I stopped by. They were busy but the guy at the desk said he could accommodate me. I had to wait maybe 10 minutes in the room then he made it.

We both wore masks and he started out draping me with a towel. Rubbed over the towel and moved it to rub my back, then raised it over my back to rub my legs. As he rubbed up my legs he would rub his hand under my leg higher and higher. His hands were so soft.

Eventually, he has me turn over on my back where he finishes the massage very nicely. He seemed so proud of his work.

I loved it. Tipped well and thanked him. Will return.

    I recommend Energy Men Spa.

Thanks for this review! I'm finally gonna try this place out since it's not too far from where I work. 👍

I'm SURE this has been discussed, but... only theraputic?

If that’s what you’re into, then he can tailor the session to THAT. But normally, NOPE. 🤫

The massage was $70 and I tipped $70

You tipped $70 and he was "disappointed" with that? SMH, sounds like he was being a bit greedy. Your tip was VERY VERY generous in my opinion, unless of course he provided extra extra's that had other extra's being extra.

I went to King Spa in NJ for the first time on Saturday. Just did the general admission. Sauna and steam room were open as were the tubs. Some nice eye candy but nothing more at least when I was there.  Did not get a massage but spoke to someone who did and said it was pretty good for the price. I’m gonna go for one next time. I also think the shuttle from Manhattan is operating.

Thank you for the current info, because I wanted to pay them another visit but I wanted to be sure the sauna & steam room are open.

  5. Energy Men’s Spa is seemingly staffing with new guys. Always enjoy meeting a new crew. If anyone has any experience with Alvin or Roger, I’d be curious to hear.

Is this place worth checking out? It’s not far from where I work, and I’ve been thinking about passing by after a long shift.

  6. Has anyone had a 'more than legit' experience here? Last time I felt like there might have been an opportunity for things to escalate, but I might have just been wishful-thinking or misinterpreting signals.

Every time I've gone it's been a "more than legit" situation, they're just a lot more low-key about it now since that lawsuit a few years back.

  7. I havent tried choosing then and there yet, but owner have encouraged me on several occasion that I can pick when I get there. I’m too shy for that. Haha!

Haha, I think I'd be too shy to pick as well. Thank you for the response!

  8. Do saunas open on 05/17?

To my understanding (at least here in NYC), although everything is gonna be opening, saunas and steam rooms (and I presume showers) will remain closed until the location updates their air filtration systems if they haven’t already. I could be wrong though.

  9. And Hush is totally legit, right? No HE after the shave/trim?

I wouldn’t necessarily say that but PM me and I’ll share some of my personal (and very recent) experience(s) with Hush.

  10. I'm not sure I would go to just anyone to do that kind of work - it's a razor blade near sensitive areas. But Hush Manhattan on West 47th Street does all kinds of grooming. Just call them and tell them what you want. In my several years of experience going there anyone they pair you with will be competent with both waxing (sugaring) and trimming/ shaving.

I second that. I’ve been to hush a few times over the last few months and Shawn’s sugaring is on point.
