I have been with Matt many times over many years. He's a great guy, warm, and good to talk to. Playful, relaxed in general, voracious in the sack. He is a gentleman of great magnitude and just a wee little bit of a pig, which I think is very high praise.

I totally agree with BaronArtz and think thought this is a glaring detail from the moment I read it. I can't come up with a scenario that makes this understandable. What reason did the friend have the key, was the friend using the apartment? Where was he keeping the key that it got "taken"? What did the friend do when the key was taken, and did he know Rainer took it? Or maybe the friend is a bit complicit and possibly did the friend give Rainer the key?
