As a former straight guy (figured out pretty late that I liked dudes too), I do not see the draw. If it was $250/hour then Brock's hourly rate is higher than mine, so it makes sense his 2-hour circle might have been larger. Additionally, driving from SD to PS is much less prone to multiple-hour traffic jams than LA to PS.

 

I'm reasonably comfortable driving my car to OC or Upland. But I don't trust my car to Palm Springs or Bakersfield or Santa Barbara or Big Bear or Barstow, so in those instances I have to rent a (small) car which, with all the coverage, is costly, particularly at the last minute.

I have tended to shy away from hiring guys with heavy tattoos, the kind that would show even when in street clothes. It would inhibit my taking them to fancy hotels or restaurants (not that that is in prospect any time soon), Since I have a pretty conventional appearance for an older gentleman, a husky tattooed companion by my side would make me pretty uncomfortable.
