I would have expected executions for sodomy to have continued longer also. Looking up dates, Oscar Wilde was imprisoned for sodomy in 1895. Then there was Alan Turing, prosecuted for being a homo in 1952 and undergoing chemical castration to avoid jail. I guess it was "progress" that the executions stopped in 1835, but gross injustice continued for well over another century.

The blackmailer may have a lot less to lose. I'm thinking of the head of BP, John Browne, whose escort became his boyfriend, then they broke up, and he was blackmailed for quite awhile. When he cut off the payments, the escort went public about him, and Browne felt obliged to step down from his super-lucrative job as head of BP. (I don't know what happened to the escort legally.)

It's partly due to online gaming, which isn't about sex, but it's common for gamers to say "I was raped by 5 mobs," meaning their character was killed by a crowd, and female gamers use it a lot too, so somehow the word gets "normalized," even though I cringe every single time I hear it.

You got that right (I grew up in a conservative area). You are brain-washed for your 1st 18 years of life that anything gay is unmanly, shameful, and sinful. If/when you give in to the urge to hook up with a man, you still hope to "limit the damage" and keep it discreet, with the street-smart conclusion that you can't "live like those people in NYC do." So you focus on straight-acting, which definitely doesn't include having a relationship that any observer could interpret as gay.

Best if agreed to ahead of time, IMO. But I'd also say that if there's really good chemistry the whole encounter, no cum at the end is only a mild disappointment against the backdrop of a very satisfying time together. That scenario is way better than a 10-min cum & run.

I actually just deleted my FB account, but I hid my birthday many years ago. I did it somewhere under the profile settings, either by just deleting it, or maybe there was a trick, like setting it to June 40 or July 0 or something impossible. Anyway, fiddle with your personal acct info, and you'll find a way. I've known quite a few people who hid theirs also.

You can only filter if you're broadcasting, not if you're just viewing other cams (as a viewer, you can only view by continents under Advanced Search). If you do broadcast, you go to My Profile, then Settings & Privacy tab, scroll down to "Able to View." US & Canada can eliminate all but their state/province. I don't see a way to limit by city. [it's funny when I actually know something--I'm always the last to know!]

My first blockage came when I was nervously toggling between 2 guys on RM that I had narrowed my choices down to for my first hire. When I travel anywhere, I learn 6 words in the local language: yes/no; hello/goodbye; please/thank you.
