I tried Oasis spontaneously last week as I was in Chelsea where I am not often in that neighborhood anymore. I disagree, upselling is when the masseur is mid massage and teases and tries to sell basic or extra services for more money.
Having a tiered pricing system without pushing it is not upselling, it's usually a request by the customer and is service provided a la Carte.

Fully ready for judgment on this but I keep a spreadsheet of masseurs I’ve seen. I’ve established a rubric for scoring them and the top two scorers are my regulars. When I try someone new and they score high on their initial session, I slot them in and hire them a couple more time for consistency. If they consistently deliver at that the high score, they replace whichever of the top two may have been lower than their score.
not to say I discard the lower scoring therapists. I just don’t hire them unless my top two are busy/out of town, etc.
