My experience with Alven has been similarly excellent.
-
Nor from mine!
-
Agreed, my experience with Alven has been very enjoyable.

Who's good at Epic these days besides Andy? Any recommendations?
-
Tall Thai Andy from Utopia? He's at Epic Men's Spa, Lex and 62nd.

To be clear, I had a strong reaction to the second dose that went away much quicker than the first time around. Maybe the medical profession considers duration to be a dimension of severity, but--in lay terms--my reaction to the second was not milder, it was just quicker. The second injection site was also far less noticeable than the first, although I assume that has something to do with the skill of the person administering it. Then again, I had somewhat worse side effects from my first shingles vaccine dose than my second. So maybe I am an immunological oddity. 🤔😂

Fair enough, I wasn't being precise. I have been to the British Museum, but it's been a few years so that might be a good option.

I have been once. It's a nice enough place and has a shower you can use. (Regular shower, not table shower). I saw Ryan, who used to be at Top Men. I was lukewarm on all aspects of it--neither a definite repeat nor awful.

Unicorn, I had my second Jynneos shot on Thursday and am just old enough to have received a smallpox vaccination as a child. For what it's worth, I had a strong reaction (a decent-sized welt) to the second one that went away far more quickly than the reaction to the first Jynneos shot. I still have a gradually fading spot from the first Jynneos shot but really nothing from the second one. Individual cases may be different, of course. But I had a similar concern about the second one and it didn't pan out that way. For what it's worth . . . .

None whatsoever. I got mine five weeks ago at Walgreens at the same time as the bivalent booster--same day appointment, too. (Got Covid a week after that, but that's another story!)

What's a good place for afternoon/high tea in Westminster or City of London where (very) casual dress is acceptable? Price isn't important; not having to change clothes is! Thanks, gents.

Well, peters out was the problem in the first place. Seriously, that is good news.

I have some tolerance for a guy being up to an hour late if there's communication in advance that he's running behind--and I don't mean 5 minutes before the agreed upon time. If he's going to be a little late, fine. But don't make me sit around unable to make use of the time because I have no idea when we're starting. Obviously, emergencies or the unexpected can happen. But that's not what we're talking about here. What has become a dealbreaker for me is the same-day request to reschedule for a totally different time--say, from that evening to the next morning. My erstwhile regular did this to me two or three times. The last time he did it (and the reason he's an erstwhile regular, LOL), he was upfront that it was because someone else wanted to see him the evening I had booked with him and he wanted to try to see both of us by moving me to the next morning. (As it turned out, the other potential client bailed on him, so trying to move one to add another produced a result of zero.)

Glad to hear this and hope I have the same experience with my second intradermal shot in a few days. I'm still waiting for some lingering discoloration and a now-very-tiny bump to go away from the first one three-and-a-half weeks ago.
-
There's a recent thread on this new spa with some limited information.

I was vaccinated for smallpox as a young 'un shortly before routine smallpox vaccinations ceased in the U.S. I had my first monkeypox shot (intradermal) six days ago and got the common swelling and welt, both of which seemed significant. I still have the hard bump (a little bigger than pea-sized) at the injection site and some much-reduced swelling (maybe an inch in diameter) around it. I don't think I had any other reactions. But I can't say for sure, because I became symptomatic for Covid within a couple of hours of my monkeypox shot. Which was all seven days after receiving the new bivalent Covid booster. 🙃

One of the web pages has a graphic that says "Grandee Men's Spa." Same ownership as Grandee/New Hero maybe? The web site seems to offer online booking. You have your choice of masseur A, B, C, or D. 🤣

Here is the U.S. CDC's guidance on this topic: JYNNEOS Vaccine | Monkeypox | Poxvirus | CDC -
I don't think so, @EVdude. There is a regular shower you can use.

Do you know anything about the Leo who works there? (I'm guessing not if you were merely told a "Leo" works there.) I'm hunting for the Leo who used to be at 27.

Answering part of my own inquiry here . . . Ryan (formerly of Top Men's Spa) has turned up at the new 24 Chelsea Spa.
-
I think he used to work at Living Fresh until it closed down. Not sure where he landed, if anywhere.

There's a Rodrigo at Alpha now. Maybe the same one? (Isn't Alpha under the same ownership as Shangrila and Utopia?)

Thanks for the idea, Tarte Gogo. Is Lynn a member of the forum? I don't know otherwise how to contact him.
