  1. Sorry... I should have commented on that too....

My first guess is Adderall or some herbal supplement like what used to be in Hydroxycut. I know plenty of younger gay men who are using Adderall to keep their metabolism and heart rate high to burn the calories.... <sigh> I used to take it for those reasons and it was grrrrrrreat.

  2. Some of you never learned how to say "goodbye, and good luck" and it shows.

    +1 lotsa co-dependency going on

Co-dependency? Hardly... part of it is self preservation.

Situation 1 - A provider drinks at your place and then drives home, gets in an accident and kills someone. The 'commercial relationship' would only compound the charges brought up against you and the provider. If you serve someone anything in your home (legal or not) and they get in accident, you are liable.

Situation 2 - Yes, part of it was sympathy for someone in a bad situation, but the guy was crying and a total wreck and it was either help him out or potentially getting his parents involved... they demand to see his phone, see my phone number and address....may get the police involved, blackmail....

The point is, I'm more upfront about my expectations of what I want and what I expect of their behavior. Its not co-dependent, its smart to minimize any risk, period, end of story.

  3. This type of issue has hit me a couple different times in a few different ways. I wish someone would publish 'what to do and say' in case their is a problem with a provider. Obviously if anything serious goes down, always, always, always 'do the right thing'.... medical emergencies, call the ambulance, etc.

I usually partake in 420 for sessions and one guy insisted on getting stoned and then driving home. I was panicked. After he got home safely, I told him point blank, either you don't use or take an Uber or I'm not interested. He got VERY ticked off and read me the riot act for 'judging his choices'. I don't see him anymore.

Another example, after a session, I walked the guy down to his car and it was booted; he had $800 in back parking tickets. Nightmare...come to find out, he lived with his parents, Mom would go ballistic, he started panicking. I didn't know what to do....I let him spend the night, took him to traffic court the next morning (after a sleepless night), paid off the tickets because I was worried it was going to have blow back consequences for me.... the session ended up costing much, much more because I bailed him out. I don't see him anymore either.

This site has been INCREDIBLY helpful in figuring out who the 'true professionals' really are so I don't need to 'worry' about this stuff as much.

  4. Ugh... Not what I wanted to hear.... I live in Philly, just getting back in the saddle of working out and cardio again and REALLY would like to find a masseur who is equally good at stretching me out (minds out of the gutter boys! <wink>) as they are with giving more traditional massage. My glutes and hamstrings give me bad lower back tightness/pain.

This is my second time living in Philly. First time there was an AMAZING guy who gave massages whose studio was in the back of an art gallery in the Gayberhood.... Wonder what happen to him....

  5. Luxury items often cost pennies on the dollar price to make, but you pay for the brand label and the supposed image you get from using the product.... I find that these 'economic transactions' sometimes follow a similar pattern.

In a past conversations with a 'high end' provider, his goal was very straightforward, he wanted to be 'kept' and the high price he charged attracted a clientele that could afford to 'keep' someone. I can't say I take issue with that line of thinking, in fact it may be even smart. More 'revenue' means less need to 'work' (depending on what kind of life you live while not working!).

I just got my bonus in March. I'm thinking I'll spend it on a longer period of time with someone I already have chemistry with rather than splurge on a short one-time, might have chemistry with. I was just curious about Dario, but think, as someone else suggested, I will use the scroll wheel and keep looking!
