I’ve seen Will a couple times now. He’s pretty consistent and very reasonable rates considering the extras. I’d personally prefer more deep tissue, but I get it. Extras both times have been more than expected given I’m not a perfect gym bod guy and in my 40’s. His azz seems like it was made for my tool belt. Perfect fit. 

Search for both Rentmen and Rentmasseur need a serious overall.  For example on Rentmen, I'd like to filter out providers who are into PNP (yes, I'm one of those guys) but can't.  On Rentmasseur, I'd love to filter on physical attributes but can't.

First off, apologize for this rant, so bear with me please.
When I am thinking about seeing a new masseur, my first place to check around is here to get more info.  However, if there is no posts here, I will reach out to those who posted reviews.  I have found that some reviews are not totally accurate or missing details, so I reach out to the person on RM with a very friendly message.
All I'm trying to do is find out more to see if it's a good match. After all the new "normal" price seems to be $200+   I don't want to waste their time or mine if it's not a good fit (nor my money).  Also we all know here there are some masseurs whose pic is lets say not very accurate

I do reach out to the masseur for questions.  I find I often get vague responses to my questions

I tried setting up an appointment with him earlier today. First, he asked a series of questions - including age. Which I happily answered.
when time came for us to schedule, he stated he would be okay with 12:30 pm and I said cool - it’ll take me an hour to get there.
as I’m starting to drive and hoping to arrive by noon (something I communicated to him), he texts me and says that if I’m not there by noon, he will cancel. I turned around and parked my car and told him this leaves no time for any traffic delay even if it’s by a few minutes. He said if you’re not here by 12, forget it (English may not be his first language).
I said let’s cancel. After which he told me to go find someone else. And then filed a false report on Mr. Number.

I recently saw Chris, even though the little voices in my head were telling me not to. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that his photos look absolutely nothing like how he looks now — they have to be years old. The massage itself was mediocre at best. They were my first and only 4-hand and I found the whole experience to be very mechanical and cold - shorts stayed on. Not worth the money and I wouldn’t recommend.

If you're in the USA, Rent.men has a complete lock on the entire industry. You can find guys through other methods, but the risk/reward just isn't there and you'll simply waste your time. RM has a monopoly and any escort who truly wants business lists on there.  As a side note, Hunqz is the place to go in Europe. Not sure for the rest of the world. 
You said you're experienced in hiring on that other site, so the rest of this post isn't really for you (no offense), rather it's for others who stumble on this thread and need to hear it. I was in that same position less than 12 months ago. Never hired before and not sure who to hire and it seemed too overwhelming. But there's a method to the madness. Some tips: 
Generally only hire guys who have had a RM profile for more than 9-12 months. There are exceptions but it's a good rule to follow.  Look for pictures that have a variety of shots in different places. All professional photos? Pass. Also, don't dismiss someone for no face picture. The single hottest guy I have hired and the hottest sex I have ever had in my life was from a guy on RM who didn't show his face.  Reviews are everything. We can debate this until the end of time, but there is huge merit in a 5.0 or 4.9 or 4.8 score with 50+ reviews. The same advice is true on AirBnB and Amazon and Rent.men. It's just a fact of life in 2022. You can't please everyone and there will always be a bitter person, but if you have 50+ reviews and you're at a 4.7 or more, then you're doing something pretty freaking awesome.  Get a VPN if you're in the United States. There are 100's of them out there just Google it. Proton VPN is great for this. Here in the USA, we can't read the text that was written in the RM reviews. But if you VPN in from another country, and also use a "private" browser session, you can read what others write about them. Sometimes there are entire paragraphs their clients write about the encounter. It's amazing.  If they link to an Instagram, Twitter, website, blog (or even an OF), that's solid gold. That means they're real and mostly serious because they're showing you more about themselves.  Finally, have a RM client profile. This is KEY. Say something about yourself, what you like, and what you're looking for by hiring someone. Include a couple pictures if you're able (even if they have to be faceless for discretion purposes).  You do this, and I promise that your response rate will be as close to 100% as possible.  Good luck man.  So yea, RM.  

Since there are limited options for finding massage therapists in certain areas, I look in the local gay rags or alternative newspapers that have massage sections. I have found some great guys that way. Very old school way to search, but seems to work fine for me.
