Interesting when I see that you say you escorted when younger!

Being naked for SOMEONE has always been different to me than being naked for EVERYONE. I could escort in a heartbeat....but I could NEVER have been a stripper.

I don't know that it's necessarily a youth thing. I'm in my mid-40s, have been to a couple of nude beaches in my day....and have always felt nervous and reluctant to strip down completely naked. I've ended up doing so, but it has always taken me a little while after being naked before I didn't feel "exposed," as it were.

That said, a normal person would have had their bathing suit on under their pants in that situation. In that context, I would wonder if they were trying to draw attention to themselves (with their contortions, etc.) for whatever reason.

And what exactly was Spongebob, lol?

Is Spongebob just a remake of a movie, or does it use characters from that property in a new story? I honestly don't know.

There are several ways to capture recordings of your screen (or part of screen). Some are pretty expensive, and some are pretty cheap. Some may already be on your computer. Your best bet may be to just google something like "record on-screen video" or "screen capture software" and see what looks best to you.

Well, Disney properties are kind of their own thing. They don't produce many (if any) original ideas/shows....they only recreate movies that are/had been popular.

Sussical -- as problematic as it was -- had a very catchy score. I think that show's B'way problems had to do with awful word of mouth that started long before the show got t B'way. And a horrifically bad casting choice as the Cat. But that's another topic for another day.

A Year with Frog and Toad....I agree wholeheartedly that it is charming -- maybe too much so. It also had its own problems (kind of episodic, etc.).

I love Honk, btw....which is currently being revived on the West End for the show's 20th anniversary. Remember, it beat The Lion King for the Best Musical award in London back then.

Spongebob....I'm wondering what kind of life it will have outside of B'way -- and the budgets that a Broadway production can get. The costuming/sets/etc seem to be something that might be outside the reach of community groups and such. Time will tell.

I wonder how many millions of dollars the B'way production lost thanks to the short run. (Sadly, it's hard for a "kids musical" to be a financial success on Broadway.)

I also wonder if -- like Seusical -- it will turn out to be a cash cow with tours, regional productions, etc.

Back in my day (o.k. 20 or so years ago), Boston was a great place to work. Of course, this was before people relied primarily on websites to find a connection. You had to make your interest known in other ways. Maybe things are still working like that to an extent?

For some people, punching like that isn't a fetish....it's more about showing their dominance/power. Sometimes, its about being an abuser, and they think they can get away with it easier if it's done to an escort than if it were done to their wife/boyfriend/whatever.

I was myself an escort years ago (as in the 1990s) in New England. I was moderately successful for several years, not needing any other supplemental source of income. I eventually found a steady job outside of sex work and left it a couple of decades ago.

These were, of course, the days before there were well-known websites where you would advertise your wares. (Hell, AOL was sending floppy discs and CD-ROMs in the mail every month to just about everyone in the US in those days.) This was before Craigslist, adam4adam, rentmen, etc. You had to find other ways to make yourself known and keep yourself safe.

While there aren't many people who continue escorting for decades at a time, I was wondering how some of the long-timers would compare escorting today (in 2018) as opposed to when they started years ago. Is there anything about the "old days" that they wish they could bring back? Have things changed for the better in the age of smartphones, etc.? What were things like when you started vs. how you do business today?

I absolutely still write checks, especially for monthly bills. While utilities, credit cards, etc., would be more conveniently paid with automatic payments, I have found far too many errors in the bills that they send to me to want to give them pre-authorization to pull money out of my bank account. I prefer to ask about any strange charges before I pay for them.
