If I can safety stereotype in this thread - loads of Millennials in my area (Silicon Valley/SF), and as a generation... there is a heaping herd of lazy groomers. Going out on a limb here. All of these replies speak to personal taste, but few address the laziness of guys hiding behind the beard trend when it’s really just laziness. YES! This trend has been in play for years now, and I am wishing it will pass. Well-groomed guys with beards can be hot, but the hipster trend moved into plain ol’ lazy slob territory. Lots of guys sport neck hair which is just plain unkempt. Give me a clean-cut guy with a fresh shave ANY day. It’s become a novelty in the Bay Area to find a clean, shaved face - just as it is to find a guy without tattoos. Personal taste varies of course, but - my wish is that the slobs start taking some pride and grooming with or without facial hair. Shape that mess!
