  1. Layne advertised he was going to be in the SF Bay area. So I contacted him. He made it clear his massage was therapeutic only ( $250 for 90 min outcall) . Just to make sure he was ok with a gay male client, when told him my age and that I was a gay male, something ticked him off and he responded "Your sexuality has nothing to do with the Massage so don’t bother me!" . I felt that was rude and may be shows his discomfort. 250 for therapeutic massage only was a bit too much anyway . Plus the response. So I decided not to pursue the appointment further.

  2. Not sure anyone has actually met this provider. Perhaps he is doing this to satisfy some need for validation?

It is interesting that whoever is sitting behind the KYSouthernBoy profile is willing to pay the rentmen ad fees for feeling validated.

  3. I had made a pre-booking prior to going to LA. Everything was arranged for our evening appointment. He never showed. He sent me a text message about 25 minutes after our agreed upon time offering an excuse. I replied that it was okay but never heard back from him. I was not the one who left the comment or review of him being flaky, but I do agree with the description of him.

My experience was similar, although if you parsed his texts he had not 100% committed to meeting me. But he could have provided me an update if he was not going to be able to make it. I got reaction from him only when I stated there was a bad review against his phone # and I should have trusted it.

Does not seem like a person you should be wasting your time for.

  4. I read through this old thread and realized most posts here seem to assume that when you text a professional provider, it is actually him at the other end. In most cases it seems like a Mastermind/pimp sitting in TX or FL with multiple SIM cards, burner phone apps and Google voice accounts with a limited supply of stock photos of providers is pulling the strings and talking to you until an appointment is locked down. Once in London I was texting with a 22 year provider.. who when challenged about pix, started getting into political arguments like 'you fat Americans think you can bend the world with your fat capitalist wallets. We are British and not your poodle' etc. Hardly something a 22 yr old eastern european looking guy would get in. Generally from the language of the text one can guess it's not the actual person you are going to meet is behind all the appointment set up texts.

  5. As mentioned before in the thread right now doublelist is not allowing any posts from ''gen" , "genrs", or "generous" men. That was the key word companionship providers and seekers could search each other on CL and could connect. We need to agree upon something else and more subtle on Doublelist :)

  6. From the doublelist homepage:

Due to the recent shutdown of some sites, we have been experiencing an influx of illegal posters on the site. As these posters are trying to find a new place to post, we are working hard 24-7 to permanently remove and block them. Please report any illegal activity to us, and please flag all illegal posts! Thank you. Read our full notice here about the security changes we will be rolling out soon.

Nothing illegal about "a gen older guy seeking a hot straight/gay guy above 18 for ongoing companionship". Yet doublelist will blacklist you for that.

  7. Just saw doublelist opened up new categories : 'gay for straight' and 'straight for gay'. Those will most surely attract g4p guys and guys seeking them.

  8. Doublelist.com may replace the Craigslist personals. They are adding cities and features all the time and more people are placing ads there as it gets discovered.

Doublelist as of now is aggressively weeding out any ads hinting to you know what (eg. ''generous") . So it is a bit of a disappointment.

  9. Friendboy.pro and Mintboys.com do not charge guys for advertising and have chances to get your category of men as well as expensive profies

Thanks David. Yeah that should help. Straight/closeted guys wanting to do this not on a pro basis, wanna generally remain anonymous and not use any credit card or ID to place an ad. Craigslist offered that mechanism. It only verified with a phone # .

  10. With Craigslist personals I found many local straight / g4p guys trying to make rent. Some gay guys too. It was all local, not much risk involved if one took some basic precautions. I also forged long term bonds with some of them. With CL gone, I feel very depressed. The commercial escort sites with professional, touched up photos, predators traveling in packs, high flying pros charging 350 to 500, I feel like I am going to be lonely again.

Luckily I have a job in technology where I can work from anywhere. Which place do you guys think would be the best place to move so I can have the best chance of meeting guys on a regular basis.
