The naïve me from 10 years ago tried to help a guy for several years as he went in and out of county jail with misdemeanor charges, inability to pay fines etc. I saw that as helping him to get back on his feet. Although originally we met in the escrt context, it evolved into a friendship and did not involve sleeping together. I even met his probation officer once. It was all futile. I think his problems were/are rooted in some psych issues which were never addressed by the system who only knew how to handle the resulting law enforcement issues by throwing him in the jail. His problems affected the naïve me in many ways and severely disrupted my life. Eventually it all got too much for me to handle. I learned a lesson in life - sometimes you just have to let things go and that sometimes there are problems for which you have no solutions.

This all happened only because Nick texted me if I wanted another appointment (we had mentioned about it in passing during the first appointment). We were able to talk about what my expectations were etc. So i decided to take another chance on him. Had we never met again, I would not have taken my original posting down. So sometimes just having an open line of communication helps.

Although I did not ask for a discount, Nick did offer to see me at a lower rate. I ended up compensating him his normal rate plus a small tip.

Hey guys, I have deleted my original post on this thread about having a subpar experience with Nick. After that experience, he reached out to me and asked if I was interested in another appointment. I mentioned my misgivings. He acknowledged them and said he was sorry. So we met again. Second time he was as before very professional about the logistics, communication , hygiene. Rest of the experience was also way better than the previous one. So assuming the bad first experience was a one time thing ... and he is human afterall .... I can say his RM reviews stand as they are.

After the first not-so-good experience with Nick, he texted to see if I was interested in another one. I mentioned my misgivings to him and he apologized. We met the second time. The experience was much better. I would recommend him for being professional and willing to please as directed. But don't expect a lot of passion / interest / conversation . A bit of feigned warmth as part of his professionalism was perhaps good enough for the reasonable price.

Also the pix posted on RM seem to be not his. They look like a white guy's pix. He seems to be latino/asian

If an advertiser doesn't respond just to me, fine, may be he doesn't want to any business with me. But if he doesn't respond to ANYONE as seen by some complaints on this forum in addition to personal experience (tried different numbers at different times of an year) , that's when I get curious as above.

I think there are two types of fake ads:

1. Ads you do get responses from the advertisers, but the pix are fake. These are bait and switch traps as mentioned above. Those are dime a dozen.

My question was about #2.

What's the purpose / economics of the fake ads on RM or elsewhere? Collect phone numbers? Test escort business waters? Boost self image based on calls received? Law enforcement sting ops? I don't understand why someone would pay the monthly RM ad fee and never respond to any calls/texts. Any ideas fellas?
