I've only watched it the one time when it was first released. I'll watch it again before Sunday's live Q&A.

I love the Coen brothers. Sometimes more than others. Hudsucker Proxy, Miller's Crossing, Big Lebowski, Blood Simple, Oh Brother Where Art Thou, Fargo, Raising Arizona, all work for me. But I'm just not drawn to Hail Ceaser!

Many times I've been alone.. And many times I've cried.. Anyway you'll never know.. The many ways I've tried.. Where have all the songwriters gone?

There is a tease going around the internet that no second season was planned, yet due to its popularity, Hollywood may well have another season afterall. For example, JustJared…. http://cdn02.cdn.justjared.com/wp-content/uploads/headlines/2020/05/hollywood-netflix-series.jpg -
Finished all 10 epi. Very good. Here is a piece I recommend reading after watching Season 1. The quote is from Robbie Amell. I think it's beautiful and it's sad at the same time. Nora and Nathan can finally tell each other how they feel, and Nathan's frozen at the end. It's so, like, only Greg Daniels can hit you with that at the end of a comedy. And, you know, I think that they both know that there's still that thing there, but at the same time, she's got to look out for herself and take care of herself and survive. Everything gets really dangerous at the end. And then here comes Ingrid to upload into the 2GB. It's such a great button on the season, and now he's stuck with her again.

Here is a brief performance recently streamed. Love him.

He used to bring gay fans up on stage. Was so sweet of him, showing his appreciation.

Watching episodes of Queer Duck on YouTube, I was wondering who did the voice acting for the guys, especially Openly Gator. Turns out it is Kevin Michael Richardson. He has done voice acting in hundreds of TV episodes and video games, e.g. Family Guy, Simpsons, American Dad, etc. Here is an interesting watch Openly Gator!

edited. A hotter version without the shaming.

I like Nora. What happened to Nathan is pretty creepy and perhaps nefarious. Clever show. I like it.

Somewhere there's another land Different from this world below Far more mercifully planned Than the cruel place we know Innocence and peace are there All is good that is desired Faces there are always fair Love grows never old or tired We shall never find that lovely land of might-have-been I can never be your king, nor you can be my queen Days may pass and years may pass and seas may lie between We shall never find that lovely land of might-have-been ~ Ivor Novello Robert Altman talked about how Novello's song was a reference to an imagined place, where gay men had happy endings. That's my take on Hollywood, for the gay characters, the interracial couple, for black actor writers, and so on, all had their happy endings. Complaining that the show got history wrong seems pretty obtuse to me. My favorite parts of the show include Holland Taylor, Rob Reiner, and Patti Lupone. -

I thought the movie, Love, Simon, had some hard flaws. Maybe a TV spinoff can make up for it. Curious how to turn that kind of story into a TV series. There are 10 episodes, on Hulu, starting middle of June. Maybe some fresh themes will surface, but not counting on it. Love, Victor has the same writers as Love, Simon. The family sounds like they are latino and Victor's jock-y classmate is played by Cuba Gooding Junior's son Matt, so could be interesting. This is funny, almost bordering on a porno fantasy.

Kumar and Payne had chemistry. They seemed authentically sweet on each other, bromance style (no homo, well not too much homo anyway).

Finished Unorthodox. A lot to chew on. Glad I watched it. I also watched Making of Unorthodox, which i highly recommend. Afterwards, I did some internet research to get a better sense of Hasidic Jewish communities in Williamsburg, and then the communities here. Learned some things!

Reading the word homosexual in our newspaper connected the last dots. 10th grade? I'm lucky I grew up where i did, otherwise my ignorance would have been extended.
