Mandalay is almost too cruisy. Haven't enjoyed my recent visits there.

I went recently. It's clean but compact. A small locker room and steam room. There was a guy steaming when I got there and he was attractive and friendly, and we chatted. Got an email saying the Santa Monica location steamroom is undergoing repairs this week. Don't remember there being major issue (unlike the sauna door at Weho which didn't close properly for months). It seems that they have all new masseurs here outside Armond. Sensual elements aside, I really enjoyed the massages I got from the previous masseurs. Tried one of their new guys and he was a chatty Cathy and sweaty. Ok massage but not relaxing. A shame.
