Yes, OP, I’ve noticed an uptick in my experience. The last two guys I hired asked me to put the cash on the table before we began. One was worth it, one was not. As someone else has said, though, usually the ones that ask are not worth it. On a side note, I make sure they count it out in front of me. I had one guy I paid his full fee, left, and he texted me shortly after that I shorted him $40. Bullshit.

FWIW, @bostonman I’m with you 100%. I despise short and curt responses and it really makes me double think about hiring the guy. As others noted, I’m not looking for a long winded text conversation, but more than one or two words in response is necessary.

Quincy, I agree with you but just thought I’d give you a tip as to how I handle this (and I let the escort know ahead of time): When the escort arrives I come off the elevator with a hearty “Billy! Remember, in theory anyway, if you’re in a hotel you’re more than likely a visitor to that city. Meeting up with friends and family is why you’re there. Further, I really don’t think the desk cares who you’re meeting. I’ve stayed with friends in many, many hotels over the years and have never side-eyed or seen anyone side-eyed when they meet a guest at the elevator.
