Always confirm the price before the action starts. Even with providers I see on a regular basis I always confirm in a text....for example: "Looking forward to seeing you again. Is 300 still good like last time?" At least thats always worked for me and its helped me avoid any confusion.

I completely agree with you and I'm the same way whenever I visit a city. Especially in NYC...the theater, a museum, or the restaurants are always the go to ice breakers. But you're right about reading the room and what is on the clock or not needs to be clearly discussed.

For what it's worth I just checked the link and it appears that I blocked his profile but I can't remember why. I wouldn't have done that unless I heard something bad about him from the forum so if you're really interested I would do a deep dive and search for any previous threads about him.
