Most of Berlin was destroyed and is new post-war. Much of Prague is original from about 1000 a.d. and is magnificent. A lot of "German" culture was Bohemia (Prague), along with Vienna, Munich , Dresden, and Leipez. Berlin, not so much. Mozart is Prague's favorite, even though Austrian by birth. He did many of his most important works in Prague and Prague was his favorite too. The Opera, Philharmonic, national symphony, ballet and national theater are equal to any in Berlin but Berlin's museum is much greater. I like Berlin because it's more American and almost everyone speaks fluent English. There are many signs in English only, it's truly bi-lingual. There's little English in Czech.
