Entertainment 'geniuses' that didn't entertain you at all

He's actually decent in Downhill, the US remake of Force Majeure. A more serious part. -

I didn't know Dodi Fayed had purchased Edward's house in Paris. The Crown said it was owned by the French government while Edward lived there. Fleeing to America from the UK to escape racism is a new one. -
I noticed the nightstands in the bedroom don't match. Oh and..... ?

I would believe the cut vs uncut.

There are a lot of $20M places in NYC going for $10M now. (Vice-versa in Florida). I've always thought about making a whole room a bathroom/dressing room with chaise and seating. But I hate the way American bathrooms have the toilet in the open bathroom the same way others think this layout is weird. That's what water closets are for. Anyway, getting contractors who don't speak your language has downsides worse than this sometimes.

The interview made $7 million. A cage match in a mud pit between Megan and Kate would undoubtedly top Tiger King ratings. -
I've had Tiles before and they were just ok. Not up to expectations. I bought a pack of 4 at Home Depot on sale for $10 around Christmas but they're still in a drawer (someplace, too bad I can't locate them lol). The big thing in locators now is the things you sneak inside someone's bumper to track where they drive to etc. by GPS. They've gotten fairly cheap so not just companies use them but also families and of course: Jealous lovers/spouses. For anyone who doesn't have it I strongly recommend the free "Find My Device" app on Android or the similar one on Apple. Someone broke in my house a year ago and took my cellphone while I was asleep. The police actually helped me use the Find My Device and amazingly it showed my phone's location and travel for the past week and the location, within 5 feet, of it going from my house up various sidewalks (the culprit never jaywalked) and then into a back corner of a multi-story apartment building where it rested from then on. (Of course, they could not tell which floor the back corner apartment was on). I never got my phone back but at least I knew it was stolen, not lost, and to head to the store to buy a new one. Your phone or tablet doesn't even have to be turned on for it to work and it works fine from a desktop app also. You just sign into it on Google and all your devices also using Google are automatically found and located. And you can see a map of where they've traveled for at least the last week. Since we now live in a Chinese-type surveillance state we may as well make the best of it.

Odd, from his usual dress at fancy costume parties you would think he was hoping for history to repeat itself: -
This. I've also seen a guy who bailed on me the 2nd and 3rd times and I heard he did the same to others. He's 100% clean and wholesome but just can't keep future appointments well so we all decided he was someone to get same-day only. There are some great guys who are just this way. (I've never met this guy).

Except Zurich has become enormously expensive and very big-city attitudes and people. The rest is still very Swiss. But Zurich has Paragonya and the often the best escorts in Europe.

Beartown (Bjornstad) on HBO
+ tassojunior replied to TruthBTold's topic in TV and Streaming services
I've been watching the mini-series too and I hate how HBO only releases an episode a week. The first two seemed a little slow but the last 3 are all about the rape of the coach's daughter by the team's star at the end of episode 2. Won't be pleasant I imagine. The same author has another novel made into a very enjoyable Swedish movie on Amazon Prime; "A Man Called Ove" . -
Those who list their locations as South America or far eastern Europe make a lot less money. Actually, anyone listing as not being in the US is going to make a LOT less. Some in the US want to keep secret what area they live in for good reason.
-
Not how this works. He became a target because of something but I doubt it was under-reporting escort fees. Once you become a target because of any crime the feds will investigate all crimes you may have been involved in also, and almost always include taxes because of easier evidentiary rules. The more charges, the more leverage to get a bigger plea bargain, which is what it's all about.

Checked my social media and yup, he posted this yesterday: Guess Im coming back to the states to stay Im going to live my life on my terms All my failures & all my success is mine & mine alone. Besides failures aren’t failures they are lessons. I either win or I learn from it & I never shy away from new adventures A couple days ago he was asking if anyone knew if bail bonds were available internationally. From his RM I'm assuming he'll stay in Chicago or Houston if anyone will still have him, otherwise back to the S. Florida stroll at the middle of the back bar at Boardwalk. He hangs between the patio, the men's room and the "private" rooms, available fast to either.
-
WTF- He just moved to Capetown, South Africa last month with a rich guy with a huge mansion and a lot of cars. Now he's back on the stroll? I met him at Boardwalk about 3 years ago where he was blowing for coke so he's on my social media. He left Ft Meyers back to Chicago, then after unpleasantness split for Houston, had a bad affair with a crazy twink, split back to friends in Houston to get away from the insane lover, then South African bliss, and now this? When in Ft Lauderdale there's 50/50 chance he'll be at Boardwalk up for anything as usual.

Like a lot of people, I stopped watching this after the first scene where one of the lead twins cuts his hand off in a public library. I finally finished the 6 hours and it really is amazingly good (if not always entertaining). Whoever gets the best actor Oscar for a movie, Mark Ruffalo is 10 times better and won the Golden Globe for best actor-series. He plays both twins where one becomes mentally disturbed. Ruffalo lost 20 pounds to play Dominick and then gained 40 pounds to play Thomas. Evidently there were doubles as there are many scenes together. Everyone's acting, even Rosie O'Donnell's, is superb. I suspect the ratings were not even higher because it's pretty depressing and stressful (the end is ok). It's on HBO (both regular and Max I think).

WM is surprisingly downscale when you actually see it. Some fugly apartment bdgs and houses. Right now if I had to choose in FL, I think Sarasota would be top. Dunedin area of Clearwater 2nd. My friends all assumed I'd move to FtL but I got cold feet. So I commute.
-
For a gay man especially, I'd think more Wilton Manors or Clearwater/St Pete.
-
It's Miami or Las Vegas for Europeans. Cheap, close, perfect beach, nice hotels, cheap airfares. Also some wealthy international clients, including some Arab, prefer it to meeting in Europe.
-
I may be different but I like the historic and fancy Riverside Hotel on the main dining drag of Las Olas downtown. 4.5 star with valets etc and big rooms. Historic buildings of 1st houses in FtL and canal with yachts adjoining. Plenty of fine NYC type restaurants in the block. 10 minutes to beach or Boardwalk bar. Amazingly low rates for the quality, especially on discounters and HotelTonight etc. I like to go to the beach and still feel like a city boy.
