  1. Philistines! Overrated: Brooklyn. It has more in common with Philly than it does New York. (Yes, that’s an insult) Underrated: The Metropolitan Museum’s lesser known collections (e.g. Pre-Columbian, Islamic).
  2. Good luck finding his current ad. Constant name changing is bad for your brand.
  3. Heirlooms?.....no, we were poor. Keepsakes?....yes. However, having recently cleaned out one deceased relatives attic....please get rid of 99% of that junk now. No one should have to go through a century of crap that you should have thrown away decades ago.

That seems unduly harsh. And like most cunty comments (mine included) it says more about the person saying it, than it does about the object of their derision.
  5. I’ve had a dude shoot 5 minutes in....and quite frankly I was glad they were leaving so soon. I’ve had a dude shoot 5 minutes in....and immediately make it so awkward I wished they had left. I’ve had dude a shoot 5 minutes in....and make the rest of the hour so amazing I never thought twice about it. Guess which one I hired over and over? When a bad hire happens I just chalk it up to experience, pay the fee, and move on.
  6. Damn, you beat me to it, Long live the 80’s!
  7. For the record.....it looks like he’s out of jail. https://www.towleroad.com/2019/12/jarec-wentworth-2/ And not to split hairs, but the victim D.B. is generally referred to as a “Multi-millionaire“, not a Billionaire.
  8. Never liked him.
  9. Cute guy. Great sex. Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth....and don’t fuck it up.

“a pretty big butt for an Irish guy.” Such a cute line. I bet he’s loads of fun.

  12. I can already write the script on this one... Avoid him. P. S. I don’t know him.
  13. Acknowledge their loss but keep it short and simple. If the grieving person wants to speak more, they will let you know. Rambling on isn’t great but saying nothing is even worse. The grieving person knows it’s awkward for you, and they’ll forgive a well meant fumble. Silence, however, will be remembered forever.
  14. RIP my friend.
  15. “Ohhhhhh.....those Turks!”
  16. Hated it so much I had blocked it from my memory until it was mentioned in this thread. This may be the first time I’ve ever disagreed with both Benjamin Nicholas and Rod Hagen. I hated Urinetown. I just didn’t think it was funny or even remotely interesting. I can’t for the life of me remember even one song from this show. In fact the only moment I remember is when the girl on roller skates makes fun of the name of the show. That‘s digging pretty deep for a “highlight”. One minor laugh, at the show’s own expense.
  17. Yeah, but I hear it‘s damn near perfect for the turnips.
  18. My worst fear is.....these boring people aren’t going to go away.
  19. “I thought the ocean, the ocean thought nothing” - Dar Williams “The Ocean“.
  20. You ramble on with Oprah in an interview for over 3 hours airing dirty family laundry.....and the Queen nails it with 61 words. Long Live the Queen!
  21. nycman‘s words of advice..... When you’re trying to get away from the press.....you don’t do an interview......with the biggest media star of all time. When you’re trying to reconcile with your family....you don’t air your dirty laundry....with the biggest media star of all time. Millionaires crying to a billionaire about how unfortunate their lives have been?.....seriously? Honestly, I think Harry got involved with a very manipulative woman who knew how to exploit his weaknesses.
  22. Agreed. I’ve beat off to this thread three times already!
  23. Your post reminds me of a chapter I once read in a book on etiquette. It was about watches and when certain watches were appropriate. What struck me most was “a gentleman never wears a watch to dinner”. The idea was that you have set aside the entire evening to be with friends. The evening lasts as long as it lasts. Wearing a watch, or even worse looking at it, during an evening with friends is rude. I took it to heart and have followed that principle ever since.
