Unfortunately, my side of the family was disinherited by a spiteful ancestor. The other side was still loaded and one now dead cousin was the president of The Philadelphia Club and involved with the Assembly Ball. We were invited once to an event when I was 17 and I was surprised at how down-to-earth and unpretentious the old-money crowd was. I’m sure some of the men would’ve liked to bed me. I would’ve been willing!

Interesting question. Years ago, when one would meet up via 800 numbers, I ended up with a stable of twinks and college boys who wanted me to dominate them. I had all the gear: boots, riding crops, chastity devices. They’d do just about anything. It seems the online world has banished those connections to the ash heap.

My providers often speak of bad experiences they’ve had with clients. I’m a curious man, so I enjoy hearing their stories, sometimes in detail. I rarely remember much afterwards. I rarely ask them directly, they usually bring it up unbidden. They’re also rarely in a hurry to leave, so it’s usually me who suggests that it’s getting late. I imagine they tell friends and other providers about me since I sometimes get “heys” from their associates, often leading to a fun session.

Have always booked two hours and it’s worked well. I like to have a little conversation before moving to the main event. I’m pretty discerning re whom I choose, so I’ve been rarely disappointed. I let the occasional dud leave early, with the two hour payment. I really am not interested in asking for a discount since it was clear that we’d booked two hours.

It happens occasionally. This year a newish provider spends so much time off the clock that we’ve evolved into a quasi-BF relationship.

Now that I’ve become sadly less idealistic, I view some issues, like homelessness, as intractable given our current political, social and economic environment. These are things, like gun violence, that we have to live with.

When I lived in CA I never saw a smoker. Among gays, it appears that many younger ones smoke or vape. Among those who smoke, many are from lower socio-economic ranges. It doesn’t repel me as much as it does others, but I still think it’s unfortunate since my father died at 70 from cigarette-induced lung cancer. My current provider (quasi BF) occasionally smokes and I’ve asked not to do it around me.
