I’m glad I haven’t booked my late August travel yet. I imagine, if it’s possible to travel then, that I should be able to get a pretty good biz class fare.

I had to restock batteries at the local hardware store. While I was there, I picked up a box of 10 3M N95 respirators for $20. When I checked on Amazon later, the same box was selling for almost $400! I know they’re of limited effectiveness, but that should give you an idea of the panic.

I don’t recall a big downturn in 2008, at least in SoCal. However, the Coronvirus has certainly diminished my appetite for the hobby.

I bought them in late January. 3M is one of the companies whose stock hasn’t been pummeled. I’ve also been stocking up on canned proteins like turkey chili, tuna fish, etc. Today I’m going to add to my stock of OTC meds, since most of those also come from China. The two cases in CA are worrying, but, I admit, I’ve always been a bit of a catastrophizer!
