During my closeted 20’s, I would occasionally, and furtively, enter a gay bar, only to flee within minutes. I was a twinkish, preppy kid and felt intimidated by the looks I’d get from older (thinks 30’s and 40’s) patrons. I wish I’d been more confident. Now I’m that much older man!

My neighbors are surprised that I don’t have a housekeeper yet have a spotless house. I always reply that I enjoy cleaning and that no one can do it as well as I do. In fact, I have cleaning supplies for every surface! As for hair, a friend does it for me now. She’s as good as any barber. I’m definitely doing take out from locally owned restaurants and leaving big tips. I can walk to most of them, so the owners aren’t getting squeezed by delivery services. As for provider, even if they are a bit naive, I always will pay an excellent rate, even if it’s more than they asked for. That way, we all feel better!
