  1. 💯 Agree. I do wish that some contributors could make an argument using more logic and less name calling, if only to make it easier for the reader to try to see their point of view. Still, I've learned to skim past the lengthy name calling posters and try to read posts that give some new insights that I never considered before
  2. Hours for walk-in doses of Monkey Pox vaccines have been expanded to 8:30am-4:30pm M-F at the SNHD in Las Vegas. No appointments necessary. 1st and 2nd doses available.
  3. Isn't it ironic that this post was made in The Lounge? That's the point of the lounge! New topics that don't neatly fit another category start here. I believe Monkey Pox discussion started in The Lounge before it became a hot topic and moved to Men's Health. What is gay men's favorite flower to plant with their hot shirtless gardener? I don't know where else to ask that question but The Lounge
  4. Eyes closed (I hate the sight of needles)
  5. Apparently not much learned from previous Covid vaccine distribution circus…at least early in the vaccine program. Actually, the feds have done quite well. The US and Canada were the only countries to have Jynneos vaccines ready at the beginning of this year, because these two countries placed an order for Jynneos vaccines back in 2020, which were being stored at the manufacturer in Europe. When the Monkey Pox outbreaks started to occurr in Europe and Canada, the US and Canada were the only countries with vaccines ready. But, the vaccines needed to be shipped from the manufacturer in Europe. The US chose to release a portion of its order to European countries who were experiencing much larger outbreaks than the US was, and wait for the rest of its order to be shipped a little later as the manufacturer ramped up production to fulfill Europe's orders which would be sent to the US in return due the US giving up some of its early supply. The US and Canada were still the first two countries to receive the vaccines because they were more prepared than the rest of the world. To keep this discussion from trending political...I am thankful that the "feds" and Canada were forward thinking back in 2020 on the Jynneos vaccine, regardless of who was in charge then or now. I plan on getting my 2nd dose in two weeks! 1st and 2nd doses are available for walk-ins in Las Vegas, no identification required, to both men and women.
  6. Maybe because his regulars are more reliable to contact trace in the event they or he shows symptoms.
  7. I got my first dose in Nevada two weeks ago. No appointments necessary. Second shot available four weeks after the first.
  8. No, I would not restrict hiring to only those who provide me their vaccination records. I do not ask vaccination status for any disease.
  9. Drive to Las Vegas. Taking walk-ins for monkey pox vaccine M-F 9am-2pm at the Southern Nevada Health District. Plus, you get an excuse to go on vacation
  10. Late hours are typical for Las Vegas. Most nightclubs open 11pm to 6am. Gay bars are open 24/7, with happy hours that last until 9pm. Local customers don't really start arriving at the gay bars until after 10:30pm. I've been to Las Vegas bars/nightclubs many times where I left to go home after sunrise.
  11. I subscribe to the paper edition of the Wall Street Journal. It works for me because: 1. Paper newspapers help keep me from being addicted to a screen all day. I read the paper during lunch, and then the rest of the day I don't think about the news or money matters. 2. Besides having information and articles about companies that interest me, I can skim the headlines and perhaps learn something about a company I otherwise wouldn't have followed. I'm not subject to computer algorithms which would keep feeding me more articles like the ones I've already read.
  12. I agree 💯. The ONLY place a tip jar is acceptable is for a piano player at a bar or lounge or street musicians, whose hands are otherwise occupied and cannot stop to accept a tip. Bartenders, cocktail waitress, taxi and shuttle drivers, and fast food cashiers do not need tip jars. If I really wanted to give them a tip, their hands are free to accept it while I'm paying them for my service. But a tip request for guests at a private event is especially offensive. It's right up there with inviting someone to your house for dinner, then asking them to pay for half of the groceries after they arrive.
  13. Thanks for sharing this! This is why I love this forum; because I learn useful life lessons like this one. Next open bar, I'm remembering this.
  14. The biggest deterrent to my hiring is inflation, not monkeypox. I'm avoiding bathhouses and group sex parties because of monkeypox. But I'm avoiding escorts and massages because of high increases in prices
  15. No, I want the gay answer, please 😃
  16. Where else is available for a straight man to advertise? I mean as an independent escort, not part of an agency such as Cowboys4Angels.
  17. The size of the Middle Class has indeed shrunk since the 1980s. But the size of the Lower Class and Lower Middle Class have stayed the same. Where did all those Middle Class people go? They became Upper Middle Class. In the 1950s to 1980s, we saw a shrinking Lower Class and growing Middle Class as low skilled employees' wages rose. From the 1980s to today, we saw Middle Class income rise to Upper Middle Class with the increased incomes of highly skilled citizens. We may feel like we can't keep up with the Joneses as we watch more and more people around us buy more luxurious cars; bigger homes with central air conditioning, multiple bathrooms and garages; vacation homes; smart telephones; and, computers. All these things were impossible for the Middle Class a generation ago.
  18. The public health agency in Las Vegas started administering Monkey Pox vaccines this week Monday. I walked in today and received my first dose with less than five minute wait. They told me to come back in four weeks for my second dose, no appointment needed. While I was there, a steady stream of 18 men and 2 women came to be vaccinated. No one was turned away.
  19. Yes, I always thank my driver on both public (bus) and private transit (taxi, shuttle bus, or even a friend who drives). The only time I don't is on a train or airplane, only because I don't usually see the engineer or pilot. I do, however, thank the flight steward or stewardess.
  20. Thank you, as always, for giving us a Provider's point of view in the "Ask the Provider" forum
  21. I was 31 when a 30 year old called me "daddy". I, too, was mortified when it happened. But I embraced it before I even turned 32
  22. One was a cruise passenger, one was a cruise officer, and one was a college kid in town at one of the ports. My point is that I enjoy all ages. 62 is probably the oldest I've had so far for a one-on-one session. But when I was 29 I enjoyed a man who was 59. That was my biggest age difference so far (other than oral). The older I get, I'm sure I'll exceed that 30 year age difference but in the other direction
  23. I am 39. On a cruise last month, I hooked up multiple times with a 20 year old, a 30 year old, and a 62 year old. No money was exchanged. I actually prefered the 62 year old for sex.
  24. I've been subscribing to the Wall Street Journal print edition for a few years. That's has helped me a lot. I don't have the will power/interest to read entire books on the subject. But I can get through skimming the articles on my lunch break. Each year, more and more of the articles start making sense to me, as I learn the lingo and read about proposed tax changes and 401k rule changes as they are proposed by Congress. I also used to DVR the Suze Orman show and watch it every week with my housemates. Her show was great, but I haven't been able to find full episodes online.
