A married friend of mine who has a LEO background contacted me about an escort I had recommended.  Unbeknownst to me apparently this escort was convicted of drug related felony and went to prison.  Seems he was released within in the last 3 years. My friend provided proof.  Frankly I was shocked he in no way seemed to be that type of person.  I have other friends that I have recommended to him.  No big issues other than the typical not always being responsive etc.  Am I obligated to inform my friends I gave the recommendation to for this escort

Assuming your LEO friend was able to look up this information in a manner available to anyone, I'd say nothing.
If your LEO friend is using information systems in an unauthorized manner -- in other words, using his position at work to look up information about people when he has no business reason to do so -- you might want to remind him that he's putting himself at risk and that you don't want information gained in that manner shared with you.

"Drug related offense" is way too vague.
If he got arrested for using drugs, ignore it. They should all be legal anyway. 
But if he hurt/robbed/raped someone while high....you get the idea.

Side note regarding this, I was 18 years old in October 1977, and on my own in DC while visiting my older brother who promptly gave me 50 bucks and sent me into the streets to fend for myself to get me out of his hair. I only spent maybe 30 minutes there, I had to fend off the advances of older men who would be my generational partners in the present day lol. I flew back home to Florida that weekend and that Monday, Oct 24 news came out about the infamous fire that killed those 9 men trapped in the theater. I saw this as an omen and swore off being gay for about 2 months. One of the many close calls in my life, I remember feeling bad that some of the men I rejected may have been victims of the fire.

I think many of us will remain on the sideline for now. I do see opportunists amongst the clients bartering more cash for less safety or taking advantage of the desperate times with the providers. Just because its a business transaction does not give you a license to exploit.

I think many people are just not hiring or making themselves available to hire. Someone asked if clients would be willing to hire if they or the provider was wearing a mask and it seems like the overwhelming response is no. I would think that both parties are choosing to take a risk if the are still meeting others at this time, so I'm not sure it makes sense for a client to pay more any more than it would for a client to make a low-ball offer in the assumption that a provider is desperate for work.

Hope you feel better. Things like this have happened to most people and we all bounce back. Personally I have learned to think of escorts/masseurs as business arrangements, not friends.
