I planned to, but he stood me up a couple of years ago, sleeping through 2 alarms and not hearing me knock on his hotel room door.

After re-remembering, I think he said he slept through 2 alarms. He overslept because he had to stay for an after-event meeting since he was an organizer and didn't return to his room until 4:30 or 5:00 a.m. -- the appointment was for 10:00 a.m., I think. We had a rather catty text exchange when he finally responded and apologized. I was annoyed because he wasted my time, and he thought I was whining. My main issue was that he didn't offer to reschedule -- not even an "I apologize for missing the appointment and unfortunately can't reschedule because....." (fill in the blank).

I've been stood up at least once -- a traveling masseur who was here for some event that he helped organize. I showed up at his hotel room a few minutes ahead of the scheduled time, knocked at least twice, then texted once or twice before leaving (spent about 10-15 minutes loitering in the hall). Turns out he was out late the night before for something related to the event and slept through our appointment. Very frustrating.
