My issue has been that I find someone I really like and use them, then switch to someone just for a change -- and then the person I really like stops massaging, and I kick myself.

I've had 2-3 in rotation at multiple points in my massage days, but they either found full-time work, retired, or left Dallas, so I've had to adjust. It seems like I've seen a different masseur every month for about a year and wasn't impressed with any of them. I finally found a local guy that I like; I've seen him a couple of times, and he's reasonably priced (he has a full-time job in a healthcare-related field and doesn't charge exorbitant prices). However, he's not my preferred physical type: he has a solid build, but he's pretty smooth and in his 30s, and I like 'em more mature and hairy -- but his skills and pricing are great, so I'll probably see him again. I also like to try visiting masseurs. That's been a very mixed bag -- some good providers, some average ones, and a couple who were terrible, but I keep trying!

I forgot about Greg! Ronnie was his massage and life partner. I saw them separately and together for 4-handed sessions (seeing them separately didn't seem to be a problem with them). They were great, their sessions were very fun -- until they both ghosted me with no explanation (think they were still together, or maybe Greg ghosted me after he and Ronnie broke up -- it's been a long time since all of that). I had texted Ronnie 3 times in a 24-hour period to schedule a session -- he never replied, so I gave up. Maybe too much texting? Then a few months later Greg was willing to schedule a session but said he had to work through some family situation -- and I never heard from him again. I also miss Jeremy -- saw him off and on for years. Think he still lives in Dallas -- thought I saw him in the 'hood about a year ago, but his ad has been down for a while.

Barry: Yep, he passed away -- colon cancer. He and my husband were in the Turtle Creek Chorale together. Never had playtime with him. Mark -- You're correct on all fronts. I saw him for about a year. He apparently retired -- he advertised on Masseurfinder, his ad disappeared a few months ago. Bill -- If we're talking about the same Bill, I saw him a couple of times -- thought the massage was fine and the HE was standard. If I remember correctly, I saw him in a very small apartment that he only used as a studio. And if it's the same guy, he used to give chair massages at Whole Foods on Lemmon and Lomo Alto. Floyd -- Agree. I saw him several times, but he takes Saturdays off -- and that's my prime time for a massage.

I loved Dale and his partner Eric -- they were fantastic masseurs and very nice guys. They moved to Fort Lauderdale/Wilton Manors or some such. Eric became a certified home inspector and is doing that. Dale continued to massage; I saw him a couple of times here when he returned for a few days (Eric was supposed to come but backed out at the last minute due to his job). Dale told me then he was going to retire from massaging; he was having some health issue (back or neck) and was going to take over the business operations of Eric's work. That was pre-COVID, so at least 2019.

Disappointing for you. Thanks for the heads-up -- don't think I've seen him travel to Dallas, but I'll avoid.

I saw him a few times several years ago (pre-COVID, maybe 1 appointment after COVID). He's a great masseur -- excellent pressure and skills. Not sure if you're looking for extras -- he offered the standard ones when I saw him but don't know what his approach is now.

No, but I'm interested. I'm due for a massage in the next few weeks, so I might take the plunge.

When I saw him last fall, he opted to leave the RV in Austin and stayed in a hotel. My session was similar to yours - and he shorted me 30 minutes, which I didn't notice until after the session was over and I looked at my watch.

I saw him last year -- don't remember the amount of interaction, so even though he is sexy as hell nothing is compelling me to schedule a follow-up session.

I've had a few providers cancel or ghost me over the years, but easily the worst session I've ever had was with a traveling masseur several years ago (second session -- the first time was OK). His motel was in a somewhat sketchy part of town. I arrived a few minutes early for my Sunday evening appointment and for some reason backed into a parking spot down a bit from his room but within viewing distance (room doors opened to the parking lot). As I sat in my SUV and waited for my appointment time, his room door opened and two guys walked out, followed by the provider. They chatted for a few minutes, then the two guys walked off. He didn't see me sitting in my SUV. I should have texted him and cancelled the session, faking illness, but didn't. A few minutes later I knocked on the door and walked into a very messy room. The provider said the two guys were friends of his who were staying with him. The provider appeared to be drunk or high and proceeded to give me a terrible massage using cold hand lotion. After 45 minutes to an hour, he finished me off and asked if there was anything else (forgetting that I had scheduled 90 minutes). I said "No, all good," paid him, and got the hell outta there. Never again. And I don't think he's been back through Dallas since.

I was interested, but his photos look Photoshopped or are AI-adjacent -- some of the proportions seem off, so I decided to pass.
