  1. They staff literally stood on the other side of the area where the dancers take you for the privates.  If I remember correctly it's only a semi half wall that goes up to someone's waist. Or maybe it was DJ standing above it... I just remember there was someone there all the time, and we tried to get away with things but staff was getting on to us.

Since my only point of personal reference is Montreal (Stock & Campus), the best way to caption the experience is: totally different.

Thursday, 22:30. No cover charge. Later I saw some entering patrons doing something with a slouched 'doorman'; dont know what about. Drinks cheaper than in Mntrl.

Biggest difference: there's no stage, and there was NO dancing. There r 2-3 small 'stages' for 1 or 2 dancers to stand upon. They were vacant most of the time I was there.

When I entered there were about 15 dancers, more than patrons. By midnight when I left, there were about 40 patrons - most of them young.

The dancers were all in tight bulging undies, some of them constantly fluffing their dicks. Most of the dancers were buff chubby budybuilders, not my type at all. Many of the others were actually overweight with a belly, which I find unappealing. There were only 2-3 dancers who were lean, one of them spent the whole time smooching with a very obese old patron (obviously prior acquaintances).

4 dancers came up to introduce themselves and politely solicit. We shortly chatted the usual, and I said "maybe later". None returned. After an hour I set my eyes on the sexiest lean guy; I thought he was Afro, but he turned out to b Cuban. I dont know why he (and most of the others) didnt solicit me, so I actively reached out to him at the partially open space at the back for smoking. He was polite, even effectionate, and despite the circumstances - smelled great.

Another two differences relative to Mntreal. One, a $20 dance 'per song' isnt 3 minutes but 5. That's what he said and did.

Two, the whole lap dancing 'area' is actually the size of maybe 2 standard cubicles. Right and left wings were occupied as we entered, so I sat in the middle. We werent crowded and didnt disturb other couples (who didnt notice us), but there's no way it's possible to have 4 couples simultaneously. However, I was sitting for more than an hour near the enterance to that area; didnt see any waiting cue.

'My' cuban was VERY good at his job, better than the 3 dancers I enjoyed in Mntrl. I was allowed to touch him all over; actually he was encouraging it. I asked if I could suck him; he said he charges $40 for that; and I went for it. He had a big dick, but didnt get hard.

Had  a great time with him. Gave him 60, meaning 40 for dance + suck and 20 bonus. Thinking back on it, he might have meant that 40 is for the suck on top of the standard 20. Guess I'll never know. We parted very amicably.

I prefer the Mntrl style, with dancers in rotation on the stage. Just sitting and looking at other guys just sitting and looking is boring, all the more so when u r alone.

I'm surprised they let you get away with the sucking.  When I was there (last time maybe a year and a half ago) the staff was on you if you even tried to touch the dancer's dick. Maybe they are loosening up?

I went myself to get tested for STD just for my peace of mind.

in case the test comes back as positive, since STD are reportable diseases, what happens when I get contacted by the State Agency and they want to trace my contacts and sexual partners?…..should I tell them about the escorts that I have hired?

I am really hoping that the bloodwork result will be negative.

If you have concerns about reporting people, just say they were anonymous hookups and you don't have their name or information..... but definitely tell the people you were with so they can get tested.  I used to work at a STD clinic and there were definitely some people who didn't want to divulge their partners to the state.

Love Dolly! A friend gave me a Duncan Hines Dolly Parton coconut cake mix for Christmas a few months ago and I loved it! lmao!

I just made mine and loved it.  I also made the banana one and took it to work and everyone loved it.  (I don't like banana but tried it and liked it).

Had a friend suggest to me some casinos in the area to post up in. As in: go, sit and have a drink and maybe chat up someone.

I’ve never worked a casino before. I know it’s cameras in all of them. Not that it would need to be obvious, but I also feel such activities are better with a wingman to fall back to in case things go awkward.

I made a client at a boutique hotel bar last year. But it was spur of moment and unplanned. I’m just feeling limited relying on the RM and A4A platform (which I decided I’m going to get off because it’s barely making me any money lately).

I am working on increasing advertising on mint boys in the lineup. I’m fine with in person scouting at gay bars and clubs, but the guys there usually aren’t looking for a paid arrangement…

I recently did a couple massages with one guy who was staying in the same Casino.  It was nice because it was his room, I didn't have to travel far and he was great.  I saw him twice in 3 days.  I think it might be a good thing to try.

  6. I've seen him a couple times.  First time he eluded to  he would do more in his description but then when I got there he only did totally legit and acted like I was crazy when I brought up his email.  A few years later I decided to try him again and he said he would be nude, MT, HE and he did and was great.  I did email him about the BDSM session and he said he isn't nude, you can't touch him etc.  Soooo I don't even want to bother trying, but if he did more then I would definitely sign up.

So your Spanish friends think Salamanca is THE place. Well, my Colombian friends think Bogotá is THE place. My Mexican friends think CDMX is THE place. Argentinians will send you to Buenos Aires and Córdoba. My Spanish friends from Andalucía would be rooting for Sevilla.

Castillian Spanish stopped being the monopoly of Castillians when they imposed their language on the rest of Spain and the world.

If you are planning to learn Spanish to travel or live in South America, do not go to Salamanca.

So, when I was talking about Salamanca having the purest Castilian Spanish it was just to answer someone saying Barcelona spoke the purest form.  Originally I just offered that I loved Salamanca to learn Spanish and then people went down rabbit holes that I am saying only go to Salamanca to learn Spanish.  Clearly if he wants to be in Latin America it would be better to study there.  There are computer 1:1 classes on Italki.com that you can choose an instructor from anywhere in the world and pay a very cheap rate.

But if you're in Salamanca enrolled in a specific Spanish immersion program, do they guarantee that every instructor is a native of that city or its region? And are there no instructors from other parts of Spain?

If an instructor isn't a native from this "pure" Castilian region, then there's no point in going there for an immersion program if you're seeking something called "pure" Castilian.

Well, it's going to be more pure than Spanish in Mexico, Argentina, Costa Rica, Andalusia area of Spain, Catalan area of Spain, Basque Country, Galicia region, etc etc.  Castilla is just the region and Salamanca is known for it.  It's just a simple statement.  I'm not trying to prove anything, but to think they speak better Castilian Spanish in other areas of the world is not accurate either.  Like I said with my experience, all my friends in Spain told me there is not better place than Salamanca to learn Spanish.  That's the reputation it has.

He definitely does not know what he is talking about.

I partially disagree with you. I do not think there is any place that can claim to be the purest example of any language. Languages are living structures, constantly evolving and interacting with one another. Salamanca, hosting the most prestigious Spaniard university and being a relatively small city (I do not think the population reaches 200K), I am sure has many educated people who can speak and write very well in Castillan. But from that to say that the region has the purest form of the language there is a huge leap.

I'm not trying to be snarky, but just explaining why I said it's the purest.   From a University website in New York: "In the 15th century, the first Grammar of the Castilian Language was produced in Salamanca. Since then, the city has cultivated its reputation as a center of “pure” Castillian, making it a favored destination for students who wish to learn Castillian Spanish."

Salamanca "promotes" that, several of my friends in Spain have told me that after I mention I study there, and my friends that are Spanish teachers have told me that as well.  I agree with y'all about the languages are totally evolving etc, but Salamanca prides itself and advertises itself as that.

Again, not putting it up to argue, people can think what they want, just stating why I said what I said.

To answer the OP, I learned at a language school in Barcelona. Immersion is a good way to learn quickly but it is tiring.

It is generally held in Spain that the Catalans have the purest accent in speaking Castilian (Castellano) and that is why schools in Barcelona were recommended.

One small point. Spain has 3 official languages: Castilian, Catalan and Galician. (The Basque language, Euskadi, is deemed a dialect).

Actually you are wrong.  Salamanca is known for speaking the purest form of Castilian Spanish and therefore that is the place that is recommended above all else.  Half the people in Barcelona don't even like people speaking Spanish and want Catalan to be the language.

I learned Spanish in Salamanca Spain, showing up at my first day of class with zero knowledge of Spanish.  It was a great experience that changed my life, and I heartily recommend it to anyone who has the opportunity to do it.  But as much as I enjoyed it, I don't necessarily recommend Salamanca, or even Spain.  With 20 Spanish-speaking countries, good language schools can be found all over.

I suggest that you figure out where you want to go because learning Spanish will be only half the experience.  The other half will be getting to know the place and hopefully some of the local people.  If you want to hit the beach after spending all morning in class, Puerto Vallarta and Cancún have language schools.  If you want the big city experience, Madrid, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City await.  For smokin' hot rentboys, go to Medellín.  If you want something really different, head to Havana (might be problematic for US citizens).

After you pick a spot, finding a good language school is actually the easy part because most decent-sized cities have at least one if not several.  If you do go to Spain, make sure the school is DELE-certified (even if you're not taking a DELE course) and Instituto de Cervantes accredited.

If you've studied Spanish some, then I suggest watching as much Spanish-language TV and movies as you can before going because classroom Spanish doesn't really prepare you for real-world Spanish.  Activate the Spanish subtitles if you can't quite keep up, but absolutely do not resort to English subtitles. You'll never learn the language that way.

Even if you're starting from scratch, try to watch Spanish programming for children (Netflix has a bunch of movies for kids) as you're learning the language.  Beginners tend to translate from their native tongue word-for-word to Spanish, which comes off really awkward and stilted.  The more TV/movies you watch, the more you'll learn to speak real Spanish, not English badly translated.

When are you going?  For how long?  Is your motivation for learning Spanish work-related, or just something you've always wanted to do?  Whatever you end up doing, please tell us all about it.

I had the chance to study in Salamanca as well and it was life changing.  I highly recommend it.  I will eventually retire in Spain so that's why I wanted to learn Castilian Spanish.  It was very inexpensive and included room and half board.   A couple friends went with me but did an Air B&B.  I will disagree with BSR about Salamanca, it was a very charming, beautiful college town.  I went with my friends every night to the Plaza Mayor where many in the community go.  Then there were bars and clubs to go to afterwards.  No gay bars, but I did meet a handful of gays while I was there.  If you have any further questions about it, please feel free to DM me.

I will never understand why we, the general public, enjoy sticking our noses into other people’s business. Or feel qualified to criticize what they do in their free time. Social media has made it worse. As long as he isnt hurting anyone…how about we all just mind our own business. 🤔

He put his business out there, people weren't sticking their nose in it.  That's why I don't have social media, no one needs to know anything about me that I don't want to share.

  13. Just to play devil's advocate, I have had several providers (only in Europe) who I hired (and paid) for an hour and they finished in 30 minutes.  When I confronted them about it, they say "Oh, my rate is up to an hour, if I finish in 30 minutes then, you get 30 min".  I mean I would never ask for a 30 min session, but people here saying that a provider can't be done in 30, well... it can be done.

Club 69 is the best strip club by far.  Look for Christian or Edgar, they are the 2 hottest dancers.   Christian is very interactive if you go private with him.   Visit the Botanical Garden, it takes most of a day, and worth it - they have a beautiful cafe for lunch (bring water with you, plus sunscreen + bug spray), there are organized bus trips that will take you from town center.  I went to the Men's Event at Amaria, it was fun - varied crowd, all clothing optional and your admission includes a free massage (you can negotiate extras).   They also sell THC infused cookies and mezcal at the bar (to consume there or take home), go easy they are infused generously!   It's outside of town, but they provide free transportation from the town square.  My favorite restaurant is The Red Cabbage, it's a little off the beaten path but excellent authentic local cuisine, the Mole is excellent here.  Another naked event at Casa Cupola (Saturdays I think?) is also fun.  Have a blast, PV is an oasis!   (PS Boston here too)

Where do you get tickets for the Amaria Men's event?

  15. I just saw a recent sex video of him by googling and his looks have really gone downhill. I  was with him about 10 years ago when he was in SD and just loved him. Have always wanted to repeat.  Then I randomly googled him after someone was talking about him on here and I thought to myself "yikes, glad I have't gone to Portland jus to see him".

Looks like Raphael is back advertising but only on massagefinder this time. I saw him a couple years ago and was a good experience, although he did make a comment about the lack of tip which was off putting.

Yes, same here!  Mine was an ok experience, he showed up to his hotel about 30 min late, took about another 20 min to put away his groceries, but at least he was very chatty and made me feel comfortable.  The massage was a C- at best but the after massage salvaged the experience….. then he asked for a tip and I was like “seriously”?
