Comments about whether to be in the biz at all notwithstanding…
…speaking fluent Spanish is an asset in San Diego. Occasionally a client will contact me requesting service with Spanish-only communication.
Unfortunately I do not speak more than a few phrases and words in Spanish, so I rely on an automatic translator to relay information. Clients with the patience and understanding to communicate that way will see me. I have several Spanish speaking clients with very limited to no English skills and we get by just fine. Sometimes I miss out on work because the language barrier is too much for the client. It’s just a matter of client preference. I imagine some of our local Spanish speaking clients would prefer a fluent Spanish speaker provider.
I can’t say being a Spanish speaking provider would be unique or novel around San Diego, but it certainly would be an asset and an opportunity to capture a particular niche in the market, especially if your look is different than the majority of other Spanish speaking providers in the area. I can’t speak to your look since I don’t have an ad or photo to go on. I recall seeing your ad while back when you posted it, but I lack a photographic memory.
I speak French and I have many francophone clients. That would help me a lot more in Canada or other French speaking places, but those clients seem to find me here just fine one way or another. Another reason location isn’t everything.

My posting history has nothing to do with this thread. I genuinely asked for some advice.
On another thread you tried to attack me as well for just sharing my experience. But now you are saying you ended up in my posting history because someone posted a thread I made in 2017? Yeah right.
I'm reporting you right now. You are derailing the thread with unnecessary accusations. I don't have time for that shit. You are pathetic.

Um... I was kidding when I made that post.
Either way, a lot of people work in SD and live in Tijuana. Spanish is my first language. There are good affordable safe parts in Tijuana.

Since the OP brought up Mexico, in addition to San Diego - let’s give that some thought
It’s possible there could be a city in Mexico that is completely off-the-radar and underserved by providers.  A hidden little jewel so to speak.
Ever heard of Culiacan, MX ?  1million people and no provider listings.  Nicely situated near Gulf of California with mountains & hot springs nearby. Not far from Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas.  I suppose the one downside could be it’s the HQ of the Sinaloa Drug Cartel.  But, those guys need some love too.  Sounds a bit “Ozark” if you know the show - but what an adventure and evidently, no competition !
I love Mexico - it’s South of the Border !!!

I don't understand why some people get upset because you state your boundaries. Escorts are entitled to have their limitations. It's our right. If you don’t like it just move on and hire someone else. Selling sex is a serious matter and can get you into jail. It's not for everyone.

If you didn't know much about the escort market in San Diego, why even bring up living in Tijuana? That's just a whole kettle of risk and danger.
I predict that you'd be leaving Tijuana the day after you move there.

    Moderator's Note
This would be a good time to return to the topic of the thread, the merits or otherwise of San Diego as a city in which to work as an escort or masseur, and to stop the two-way sniping at other members who have posted in the thread. And no, one way sniping is not okay either.

    Most definitely.
Not only is San Diego expensive - it's incredibly dull.
Leaving NYC to San Diego for an escort makes little to no sense unless they are filling some niche gap in the market that they've discovered.
As others have mentioned, a hard-limit of "no kissing" is going to reduce your audience. Other factors (age, body-type & looks) are always limiting factors. Since@socurious doesn't have a profile anywhere so I can't determine what other factors may be limiting his audience, but my guess is that the audience is going to be chopped down to a few guys no matter where they travel.

What's your problem? You are mad because I stated my limitations 2 years ago? Now you are posting irrelevant pieces of an argument I had with another poster back in 2017? You omitted the whole part where NYCman attacked me lol. How cute is that. You are here trying to make look like a bad guy now.
And it's true that I already posted my profile on here. You tried to imply I was hiding it lol. I won't post it anymore for privacy concerns.

Buddy, that’s an old post from nearly 2 years ago. I started the business this year in the summer.
I don't choose my clients. At the very beginning and since I was new in the business (unsure), I tried to do it a few times. But after so many potential clients flaked I understood it wasn't the best idea. For security purposes I also thought it was necessary.
Why is this relevant? Like really, searching for old posts for this. No bueno.

Um, I already posted my profile a few months ago. Those that remember know it well. A few others have also DM' me to see it.
I get the impression you are assuming stuff. You asked me for my review on another thread as if I wasn't being honest about what I said there.
People often assume in I'm early 30s or mid 30s at most.

I must have you confused with nycboi in this thread:

To answer your question, moving to California is a lifestyle decision, not just an escort competition decision.
Try living there a few weeks first and see how you like it.  But if your business is suffering in New York, it will likely continue to suffer in California without changing other things besides the location.

And not just that, clients have to be willing to understand why someone has boundaries to begin with. That’s the issue. They’re quick to think hiring someone else is the solution, but in reality they have to be a bit more discerning about who they’re picking.

Every time I read or hear someone saying they don’t want to or never have/will pay a deposit (and sorry I know that’s redundant topic), I just 🤦🏾‍♂️ because it’s like: they don’t get it. I’ve tried and tried and tried to do things without one, and it never fails. By getting a deposit from especially a new client, I cut my chances exponentially of having my time and effort dashed. It’s not even a personal issue. It’s just common sense and experience. If I do without, it’s only if the client is very conveniently located: and is available to  host AND/OR travel.

But not these jokers who be like, “where are you?” can’t always be relied on to show up. And I’m definitely not coming out of pocket booking hotel rooms and driving long distances for that.

To me...doing the math. I would say it's Dallas and San Diego that have the saturated markets. NOT NYC.
There's a bigger gay/bi community in New York than those other two cities and the tourism is FAR more busy so by comparison 300 is a minimal number to serve the huge tourist industry in NYC alone.

NYC shows more than 300+ profiles.
    Dallas about 200.
San Diego a total of 156.
