  1. I have no experience with the cars Make certain you consider all elements of charging. Example: CA law about condo HOAs and electric vehicle charging. Condos with common garages/parking can prohibit charging the vehicle on common power. But, condos must let an owner install their own, separately metered, charging station at their space or in their garage. That would mean pulling new electrical service, a new meter, etc. Costly! People mistakenly think they can just drive home and plug into the outlet in the garage. Your neighbors and fellow association members dont want to share in the cost of your car. If you own a free-standing home... this was irrelevant for you. Sorry
  2. Bagels? Are there bagels?
  3. We all see the world differently I'm of the opinion that social media has enhanced impressionability. That its lowered the common sense/skepticism that, in moderation, serves decision-making well. Things fly by on screens, people see them, believe them, make ill-informed decisions more than ever in human history. Proof resides here:
  4. There's an old tale, told in many versions.... one of those life lessons you hear growing up. There's this house painter in town. He makes the rounds, gets hired to paint the house, takes the homeowner's money, and does a horrible job. Someone asks him, "aren't you worried that not one of those people will ever hire you again?" And he replies "There are 10,000 homes in this town. I only need to paint each one once."
  5. Geez.....Never went anywhere near that. I only discovered this forum 6-7 weeks ago. When MSS was very active.... even way back to Atkol.... that guy had a horrible reputation. If there was a dictionary of rentguy terms.... hed be listed under scam, ripoff, notorious, and reputed asshole.
  6. Between views, interests, and messages.... about 40 guys have responded to my SA profile. Many are from overseas. Some if the profiles are mildly interesting. I must have misunderstood the marketing.... I though it said if I post a picture, I can read messages. Picture posted, but all messages in inbox still marked "upgrade to read" Nothing/No-one who's responded interests me enough to spend $80. So just playing it passively for now. Who knows, maybe Mr. Right who is also Mr. Right Near Here will message one day, and I'll pay and reply. Until then... I'm content to wait.
  7. I had a very minimal awareness of Eder... knew who she is, sorta recognized the voice. Just yesterday, driving home, Sirius XM On Broadway station in the car.... Bring On The Men from J&H... maybe the first time I really listened to it. Instantaneous fandom!
  8. I exchanged texts with him and he was nice, responsive... good indicators. His incall availability is a limited schedule. For me, in suburbia, I moved on because I found someone much closer, willing to outcall at my place. If I was in SF, I'd give him (Fabi?) a try. And, I might anyway, as the nearby guy I found provided one fantastic session, gave me follow up appointment times... then vanished, along with his advertisements.
  9. ... aware that I'm going wayyyy off OP.... I hope that these recent additions indicate interest in sports as well as the players. As a season-ticket holder, who genuinely loves pro-sports.... and who thought asking a guy to a game would be a great way to expand my social circle.... I've been disappointed and a surprised that the vast majority of gay guys I've asked to be my guest respond as if I've invited them to a hanging. Sometimes I wonder about the correlation between gay, childhood, closeted, sports, and teamplay.
  10. I created a profile. The autobots prompted me that if I posted my picture, I could read messages. That seems to have been a false marketing tactic. Ill let it go passively for a while.... but so far, Ive gotten dozens of messages, looks, favorites, etc..... but no one that interests me enough to fork over $80 just to read their message.
  11. Fred Astaire was often cited as one of the most precise dancers of the hollywood movie era. He practiced routines endlessly. One of the "That's Entertainment" movies showed a clip of Astaire performing a dance number for a movie. The director didnt like the set or costume, so it was cut, and Astaire performed the same number in a different costume. They show both performances side-by-side. Its amazing.... machine like precision identical moves; if not for the different apparel, you'd think it was camera trickery. Unexpectedly, because he had a soft high tenor or alto voice.... Ive heard many directors opine that for pitch, timing, purity, etc.... he was one of the very best singers of the era. His only Academy Award nomination..... The Towering Inferno.
  12. Wait a minute.... that sounds like a party. I'd love an invitation
  13. LOL. There are times, he looks great. But there are times, the way hes built, he looks like hes wearing diapers under the uni.
  14. Thanks. I never expect everyone to have similar attractions... but considering the media hype..... non-sports media.... I just assumed he was recognizable.
  15. Am I the only MLB-fan on the forum?

  17. I dont believe the fantasy guys whod interest me would be available at $500, or $50,000. Top of my list would be a major professional athlete.
  18. I think you can pay $500/hr and get a guy to hold a parking space in San Francisco.
  19. Thats probably legit concern. Thinking ahead, with the brain in my head.... a young interesting guy, some youthful zeal, would be nice to have around. And Id genuinely like the idea, get fulfillment, by supporting an education, social or travel companion, etc. But it would probably seem too-good-to-be-true for a potential youngster. And, I should remind myself that, if hes my kind of eye candy.... the brain below my belt might complicate the initially platonic setup.
  20. I already have a housekeeper. And no one's cooking is as good as mine. Nor am I matched in humility.
  21. Ya know.... we're all wired differently. Im not certain I'd expect sex as part of the deal. Having the right young guy around can exude youthful energy.... slow my creep into fuddy-duddy-ness.
  22. Maybe because its a major tourist destination. Certainly because of its historic attractiveness to the gay community Size-wise, SF is relatively small. Not one of the top 10 cities in US. So, there're often fewer choices here than people imagine. Not really helpful here... and there are other factors at play. I'm always a little disappointed by the peculiar challenge of living in the US city people still label as some gay mecca... and realizing that, in many ways, (including the rentguy scene), it's far from being the best place to be gay.

    uber

I've never used Uber. In USA, I have no plans to do so. Based on what friends tell me, I might in other countries.
  24. Dilemma.... I detest paying for websites. But these arrangements are starting to sound too good to not investigate. I have a guest room with its own bath, and live in suburban San Francisco Bay with great access to commuter resources. Maybe Im looking past opportunities..... Hmmmmm
