I'm familiar with VPN as a means to sign into a network remotely. Had it on my laptop to access employer's corporate network. But I'm also seeing ads that VPN is a means to maintain confidentiality when online? How does that work? Is it same thing? Or are third parties selling/providing access to their private networks, and its really not confidential, but just not visible to ISP, or trackable?

As a client, I learned the personal info and ID of an escort. But it was due to his revealing errors. First visit, he sat down next to me to show me something on his laptop, and the boot-screen had his real first name Subsequent visit, in bed, he wanted us to watch porn on his laptop... and the wallpaper was about his business/alternate career. I love dogs. I dont have a dog. I travel with minimal notice. Often away from home for long hours. It wouldn't be fair to the animal. I had a college ex-roommate who got a dog, tired of the dog, tied its leash to the police station door. Not long thereafter got a new puppy, tired of it, and abandoned that one at the police station too. I think that was the moment in life I understood the term "seeing red!" Im about 6 weeks into SA. its apparent that new members are tagged... got dozens of favorites and messages right away. Deleted a bunch, still have 80 to review. Much slower now, but still three or four per day. Havent paid the $80. Probably wont, as very few guys are local. And Im not open to transportation/relocation for someone never met. Ive had a lot of escorts do stuff off the clock. But I always propose it in a manner that benefits them. I'll ask what their plans are as we dress. If theyre hungry, I'll offer visitors dining advice, to buy lunch, etc. If its the gym, ill offer a ride. Visitors usually dont have cars, so rides are often accepted. Ive had guys accept offers to provide a tour of San Francisco. Ive even taken guys shopping. Fitness-buffs appreciate a ride to Whole Foods, where we can sit in the cafe and chat over coffee or healthy food. But its always about what they want to do, never about getting them to join me for what I want. And, its always a very casual request, and a no-attitude acknowledgement if they decline. Most decline, I'd estimate 20% say yes.

If you check the website, the schedule shows the house dancers and the headliners they bring in. If history from many years is any indicator... there may be a few more house dancers whose pictures names and pics arent on the schedule. Also, they cycled through periods of paying dancers, and telling dancers "work for tips-only" I think they always paid the headliners... but when I was an attendee, the headliners worked a full week, and also got lodging.

Agreed. My frustrating effort.... arrange a bunch of guys to meet and go on same bay cruise, which required reservations, advance ticket purchase, etc. Never again!

There have been a few other posts about forum members meeting socially. One of the factors is that theres potential for major hassle and frustration for the organizer. Not for this forum, but I once organized a meetup for an online group of SF guys. It was crazy-making. If I ever tried again, I'd only do something very casual and unstructured, such as "we'll be at this location, this day and time, be there if you can." And not interpret participation as success.
