What if I started a GenX Gay Meetup Grouo? Do you think folks would be interested? I think a lot of gay Gen Xers need connections and opportunities to meet up. It would be focused on culture, art, dinners, music, dancing and night outs. Instead of being alone at a gay bar a group of Gen X gays would be a presence.

There no gay bars or clubs at any ski resort in Colorado. There is no gay unless you go to a gay ski week or weekend. You can Google those; they hold events at local venues so it is gay for that event. I know Vail has a gay ski week. As for Colorado, some of my favorites are those some bit of a way from Denver: Steamboat and Crested Butte are among my favorites. Both have airports near them. Both have a range of accommodations and restaurants. The great thing about them is that they don’t get the Denver weekend crowds. You can also look at organized trips. Get Out and Trek (GOAT) organized them thru Feb 2020. Then the Pandemic hit. They might organize something in 2022.

Yes Townhouse is still alive and doing really well. It was full on a recent Saturday evening. But… I have never seen any Hustlers or RBs there…. It is mainly a Piano Bar and hangout for the Gray Gentlemen Gang (50+). I am 49 but look like in my 30s ( so I am told ). I feel like I have fallen into No Man’s Land. Too old for the hip happening places and too young looking for Townhouse. 🤷🏽‍♂️ All the best Trade is online. Haven’t been to Prague for 14 years…. So don’t know. But Berlin was 4 years ago… the RB bars exist but nothing I liked… all online there too.

Hmmm…. indeed. I hear what you are saying. It is sad in a way. I love dancing and clubbing… That’s why I love Ibiza… The clubs there are all types all ages. All for a good time. The (str8) dance events in Brooklyn are like that too (eg “House of Yes”). It’s the gay dance parties (IMO) that are the problem: too much focus on six pack 20s. The gay bars I don’t find to be a problem; anyone can go and do.

Have you considered the Point Foundation? https://pointfoundation.org/ it is focused on awarding scholarships to LGBT students. Perhaps you can speak with them about designating the University? This way you know it will go to LGBT recipients.

IMO. The best age bracket is 24-early to mid 30s (depends on genes. Some people can look 10 years younger than their real age. OTH some people ripen fast…. 😊). Anyways, this age bracket is the best combo of looks, experience, maturity, and with their abilities fully intact and ready to go.

Same here. Indeed, He was in DC several years ago. I met with him many times. He was great back then. I thought he retired. But looks like he’s back. I have not experienced the second incarnation. But if he was like he was in DC, then I’d recommend.

What has been the experience of folks on this forum with Atlantis cruises? My first and only experience from October 2009 was not great. I was not treated well on the cruise by others. It all started from the welcome reception and just got worse. I was body shamed (5’10” 36 inch waist) (I would have been fine on a normal cruise) (it was a tough year and I just wanted to relax). People wouldn’t even sit with me for dinner or socialize. I ended up eating by myself in the cafeteria. I also had two different cliques openly make fun of me whenever they saw me. I finally had to confront them to stop and it went up to to the Ships officers who basically told them to knock it off. They also advised me to try and have fun on my own. Basically, what I learned was that it is only really for the lean six pack abs muscle set. All others should stay away. I will never go on another gay cruise. Ever!! What about your experiences?

Yup. Doesn’t surprise me. Same with everything. Demand is through the roof. I wonder if more folks might jump into the sector as a result.
