  2. I thought last night's episode was the best yet. BTW, Sass' dad was played by Sass' dad.
  3. It was fine; watching it was not a life-changing experience.

  5. So you wouldn't have wanted to be Genny From The Block? She's a hit-woman. She uses the jump ropes around her neck to strangle her victims.
  6. The Law & Order reboot begins tonight, shifting The Blacklist, which has been renewed for season 10, back to Fridays beginning tomorrow.
  7. Which one did he shoot-- Will or Grace? I've tried to blackout my memories of the reboot.
  8. First of all, I had to google the name to find out who that is. No wonder I didn't know. The Olympics (summer AND winter) are a bigger bore to me than even the Stupor Bowl. Having done my research, I think I'll pass. Besides, his dance card's already full.
  9. I pity any family with a patriarch named Riccardo, as future generations are bound to have a bunch of males who are Dicks.
  10. https://nypost.com/2022/02/23/alison-parkers-father-turns-video-of-murder-into-nft-in-bid-to-pull-it-from-web/ The father of a TV reporter who was fatally shot along with her cameraman during a live broadcast turned the horrifying video into an NFT, or non-fungible token, in a “Hail Mary” bid to remove it from the internet. Andy Parker, whose daughter Alison Parker was gunned down by a disgruntled former co-worker, has transformed the harrowing clip of her murder into an NFT in an effort to claim copyright ownership of it and allow him to sue social media outlets, the Washington Post reported. “This is the Hail Mary — an act of desperation,” Parker told the newspaper. Parker created an NFT of the murder video in December on Rarible, a marketplace that deals in crypto assets, the newspaper reported. An NFT is a non-interchangeable unit of data — such as images, videos and audio files — stored on a blockchain that can be sold and traded. Attorney Adam Massey of C.A. Goldberg, a law firm that has advised Parker, said NFTs could be used to claim the copyright of a video. “For victims of horrific images being distributed on the internet generally, unfortunately and inappropriately copyright does end up being an effective tool,” he said. Andy Parker created an NFT of the murder video in December on Rarible. Vester Lee Flanagan II/Twitter via AP But ownership disputes have emerged and case law regarding their use is still limited. Parker’s latest strategy is his most recent effort to prevent the shocking footage of the August 2015 shooting from circulating online, where it has become a painful reminder of his daughter’s death. Despite assurances from top social media execs that it will be removed, the grisly video repeatedly resurfaces, according to a recent complaint filed by Parker and attorneys with the Georgetown Law Civil Rights Clinic. WDBJ parent company Gray Television reportedly owns the copyright to the original video of Alison Parker’s shooting. Facebook The grisly video has been viewed millions of times on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and other sites. In October, Parker’s complaint to the Federal Trade Commission said “the reality is that Facebook and Instagram put the onus on victims and their families to do the policing of graphic content — requiring them to relive their worst moments over and over to curb the proliferation of these videos.” Parker said at the time that he also wanted to see action from Congress. Andy Parker said the circulating video of the shooting is a painful reminder of his daughter’s death. Tom Williams/CQ-Roll Call, Inc via Getty Images “Alison’s murder, shared on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, is just one of the egregious practices that are undermining the fabric of our society,” he said last year. Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for stripping away some of the protections granted by a 25-year-old law — in a provision known as Section 230 — that shields internet companies from liability for what users post. Facebook and YouTube said they have removed thousands of clips of the murders, but many have remained on the platforms, the newspaper reported. “Facebook and Instagram put the onus on victims and their families to do the policing of graphic content,” Andy Parker argued. WDBJ parent company Gray Television reportedly owns the copyright to the original video of the shooting. Kevin Latek, chief legal officer for Gray, argues that the clip does not depict Parker’s murder since the “video does not show the assailant or the shootings during the horrific incident,” according to the Washington Post. He told the paper in a statement that the company has “repeatedly offered to provide Mr. Parker with the additional copyright license” to call on social media outlets to remove the video “if it is being used inappropriately.” Alison Parker and photojournalist Adam Ward were both killed in the shooting. Facebook But even if Parker’s strategy works, getting the copyrighted clip removed would not be enough because the NFT doesn’t cover a separate clip of the murder captured by the shooter, the outlet said. “We remain committed to removing violent footage filmed by Alison Parker’s murderer, and we rigorously enforce our policies using a combination of machine learning technology and human review,” YouTube spokesperson Jack Malon told the paper in a statement. Jen Ridings, a spokesperson for Facebook parent company Meta, said, “We’ve removed thousands of videos depicting this tragedy since 2015, and continue to proactively remove more.” I can't even imagine the pain this must bring him... I hope he succeeds.

  14. TV will never be the same... 'Wendy Williams Show' to end, Sherri Shepherd talk show will take its place Daytime TV is undergoing some changes, as Sherri Shepherd is in full-time and Wendy Williams, host of the long-running The Wendy Williams Show, is out, at least for now. Shepherd, who's been filling in as a rotating guest host amid Williams's health issues, is set to launch her own daytime talk show, fittingly titled Sherri, in fall 2022. Sherri will move into the same time slots that are currently held by The Wendy Williams Show, with many production staffers moving over, including David Perler, Williams's longtime executive producer and showrunner. "Sherri is a natural who proved her hosting skills for many years as a panelist on The View, on FOX’s Dish Nation and again this season as a popular guest host of Wendy," Debmar-Mercury Co-Presidents Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein said in a statement on Tuesday. "Like our viewers, we have been impressed by the unique comedic twist Sherri puts on our daily live 'Hot Topics' segment, her creativity and interactions with our guests. Her love for the content and daytime fans is obvious, and we are excited to partner with her to create another long-term talk franchise." They add, "This is also a bittersweet moment for us and our partners at FOX. We all have a great love and affinity for Wendy, who grew into a true icon during her 12 incredible seasons as the solo host of a live, daily talk show dishing on 'Hot Topics' and interviewing celebrities. Since Wendy is still not available to host the show as she continues on her road to recovery, we believe it is best for our fans, stations and advertising partners to start making this transition now. We hope to be able to work with Wendy again in the future, and continue to wish her a speedy and full recovery." Williams issued a statement through her spokesperson, Howard Bragman. "It's been a challenging time for Wendy as she deals with her health issues. She is incredibly grateful to Debmar-Mercury, to Sherri and everybody else who has supported the show through this time," Bragman said. "She, more than anyone, understands the reality of syndicated television — you can't go to the marketplace and sell a show that's the 'Maybe Wendy Show.' She understands why this decision was made from a business point of view, and she has been assured by Debmar-Mercury that should her health get to a point where she can host again and should her desire be that she hosts again that she would be back on TV at that time." Williams's well-being has sparked concern among fans. For one thing, the Emmy-nominated star suffers from the autoimmune disorder Graves' disease, which causes the overproduction of thyroid hormones and symptoms such as fatigue. She also struggled with COVID-19 last year. However, a source close to the situation told People earlier this month that many rumors swirling around Williams's condition were untrue. "Reports of a stroke, drugs or addiction issues or a dementia diagnosis are all false. Whether Wendy can return in the fall will depend on how her healing goes over the summer," the source said. "Her health is the most important thing." Just last week, Williams spoke out in a video shared on her new Instagram account. She says she's in Florida and talks about taking a break from the spotlight; however, fans don't believe it's a current video. Williams says she has family in Florida and mentions her mother, but she announced in 2020 that Shirley Williams had died. Also, Williams turned 57 in July 2021, but in the video, she repeatedly says she's 56. She has not posted in four days. https://www.aol.com/entertainment/wendy-williams-show-end-sherri-163744233.html I first got into Wendy when I was in rehab after back surgery in Feb, 2012. 16. I came onto the site a little while ago and noticed that the gallery showed 1999 visits, so I clicked on it to bring it to an even 2000 (although some spoil-sports have since ruined that). So what do I win for being the 2000th visitor?
  17. Gee, and I thought I was technologically ignorant... You could probably fetch a pretty penny for your correspondence with Q & Miss Moneypenny.
  18. I wanted to see more of Gheorghe; I had 2 choices... Ammonite, a film about a lesbian romance, written & directed by Francis Lee, who also did God's Own Country, and which also had Gemma Jones (Nan in GOC) in the cast, or Amulet, a horror film. I figured Amulet would be less scary than a film about lesbians. It was nothing special (though I'm not a horror buff), but... the first shot of the movie is a close up of his clean-shaven face while he's sleeping, then we quickly see him shaving, then dancing (with headphones on). He also has shorter hair than in GOC. Just as I was saying to myself that he looks better with facial hair, he wakes up from a dream with facial hair that appeared fuller & thicker than in GOC, which proves he WAS contouring out in the fields. So with a mere 2 minute investment, you can see him with different looks... it's available for free on HULU, as is GOC, and in each case all you get is a 90 second commercial break before the film starts, then no commercials during the film.
  19. Alex Borstein thinks her “Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” character, Susie Myerson, is a “bit of a 40-year-old virgin.” The actress said that while a lot of people want Susie to be in the LGBTQIA community, she doesn’t prioritize her sexuality. “I feel like Susie doesn’t know,” Borstein told Page Six at the Season 4 premiere of the Amazon Prime show earlier this month. “I feel like Susie has never taken the time or had the luxury of figuring that part of her life out. I think she is a bit of a 40-year-old virgin.” The “Family Guy” star went on to explain that she believes there is a love story on the show and it’s between Susie and her client Midge Maisel (Rachel Brosnahan). “But it’s platonic,” she added. “She is in love with this woman, with her mind, with her talent, with her chutzpah but I also think she wouldn’t pass up a night with Lenny Bruce. I think Susie would sleep with talent whatever the package.” Borstein believes that Myerson isn’t closeted, it’s just that finding a romance isn’t “a priority.” “It’s a show about a time when people didn’t deal with that if they didn’t want to, aired in a time where everyone wants to talk about it,” she sagely noted, “so it’s interesting.” The “MADtv” alum also revealed that she was astonished by the response to her 2019 Emmy speech, in which she spoke of her Hungarian-born mother and grandmother. “They are immigrants — they are Holocaust survivors,” she during her speech. “My grandmother was in line to be shot into a pit. She said, ‘What happens if I step out of line?’ He said, ‘I don’t have the heart to shoot you, but somebody will,’ and she stepped out of line. For that, I am here and my children are here.” “So, step out of line, ladies,” she urged while applause swelled. “Step out of line!” “I had no idea what that was going to turn into it,” she exclaimed. “I’m so happy to talk about my grandmother and keep her alive for my mom. It started out for me and ended up affecting a large portion of the public which is kind of wonderful especially when we’re living in a time where we’re banning books like ‘Maus’ and people are denying the Holocaust and there’s a lot of anti-semitism. It’s nice to put something on the other side of the scale.” https://pagesix.com/2022/02/20/alex-borstein-on-her-marvelous-mrs-maisel-characters-sexuality/
