Just think what you could have accomplished if you'd tried selling Avon.

Tony survived and Meadow testified against him in a big mob trial, which is why she's in the Witness Protection Program as a waitress in Montana named Tonya (on ABC's BIG SKY). BTW, I assume y'all know she has MS and is Lenny Dykstra's daughter-in-law.

Don't worry about it. He was probably a secret acid freak who had plenty of trippy experiences while wide awake. 😁😎😇😝

As a Yankee fan I hate the Red Sox, but as a baseball fan I despise the Astros. So I find myself positively giddy that the Sox have grand slams in each of the first 2 innings today. I never thought I'd be able to say/write that. A bit later... Enrique (Kike) Hernandez just homered and the Sox are clinging to a 9-0 lead in the 4th. I'm impressed, jealous, and annoyed at this: Signed for 2yr/$14 mil to play 2nd, he wound up playing about 1/3 of a season's worth of games there, but wound up playing 81 games in CF, with 14 defensive runs saved. Today's game is only 1/2 over, but as of now he is 15-24, with a one, two, three, four, and five hit game in his last 4 1/2 games with 4 doubles and 5 home runs. 8 runs, 9 RBI

Whichever one my sister and brother in law gave me when they put me on their phone plan, which I turn on once or twice every month or two to make a call then turn off right away so I almost never have to bother charging it.

What does living in Palm Springs have to with anything? I live in NYC and wear t-shirts and shorts from late March until roughly Halloween, when I switch to t-shirts and sweatpants.

FOODIES: What prepared or pre-packaged foods do you use?
samhexum replied to samhexum's topic in What's Cooking
Well, I'd say that anyone who fucks a warehouse club is wicked. -
Martha Stewart has admitted that she uses canned pumpkin, saying it's one of the few canned items she uses. For those of you that cook a lot, what pre-made mass-produced items do you use for convenience?

How about her girlfriend Holland Taylor for the older role?

Still completely not enjoying the teen storyline. And who would have thought Meadow Soprano would wind up a waitress in Montana? (Did you know she's Lenny Dykstra's daughter in law?)

Texas school teachers told to counter Holocaust books with ‘opposing’ views A secret audio recording revealed a Texas school administrator warning teachers to balance out classroom books on the Holocaust with “opposing” views. An official with the Carroll School District in Southlake is heard on the recording, obtained by NBC News, advising educators about what books they should have on their classroom shelves after a local teacher was reprimanded for keeping an “anti-racism” book in her library. “Make sure that if you have a book on the Holocaust that you have one that has opposing — that has other perspectives,” a voice that is purportedly Gina Peddy is heard saying to groans from teachers. “How do you oppose the Holocaust?” one teacher responds, according to NBC News. “Believe me — that’s come up,” replies Peddy, the school district’s director of curriculum and instruction. The recording was made Friday during a training session said to be related to Texas’ new law that requires teachers to present differing views when studying “widely debated and currently controversial issues,” the TV station reported. The controversial 3979 bill was portrayed by conservative lawmakers as a ban on “critical race theory,” outlining how teachers can discuss history and structural racism in Lone Star State’s classrooms, the Dallas Morning News reported. A spokeswoman for the district told NBC school leaders recognize “teachers are in a precarious position” due to new legal requirements. The law is viewed as applying to books available in class libraries — not just those used as part of a lesson, the spokeswoman said. “Our district has not and will not mandate books be removed nor will we mandate that classroom libraries be unavailable,” spokeswoman Karen Fitzgerald said, according to NBC News. A state teachers union and state senator have said the school district is misinterpreting the law. NBC obtained a photo of teachers in an apparent protest of the discussion having stretched yellow caution tape across bookshelves.

Meghan McCain announces her Departure from The View
samhexum replied to jjkrkwood's topic in TV and Streaming services
‘View’ staff ‘banned’ from talking to Meghan McCain by exec producer Meghan McCain’s upcoming audiobook memoir “Bad Republican” — and new columnist gig at The Daily Mail — apparently has her former boss at “The View,” Brian Teta, seeing red. Sources told Page Six that Teta is so paranoid about her feeding the British tabloid news about “The View,” that he’s attempted to ban staffers from talking to their former colleague. “Brian has lost his mind. What does he think this is? A cult, where everyone has to listen to what he has to say? We literally report into the news division. We’re being told not to talk to someone on the outside, who has different political views… who used to work with us,” a source on the show said. And, for the record, “many of us are still in contact with her,” the source added. But a spokesperson for the show told us: “This is not true. No one has been banned from talking to Meghan. Our focus is on the exciting season ahead and we wish the best for Meghan in her next chapter,” they said. Another insider pointed out that McCain is still in contact with people at the show, and even continues to use the show’s stylist Fran Taylor. “Her mom [Cindy McCain] was recently on as a co-host. This is so not true. It was a warm reaction and there’s nothing but warm thoughts for Meghan. And she and Brian left on good terms,” they said. McCain, 36, left the show in August after a combative four seasons as a co-host. Her upcoming memoir will “describe the moment she decided to leave and everything leading up to it,” another source told us. “They have bigger problems than Meghan and the Daily Mail. They should be more afraid of Candace Cameron Bure saying she suffered PTSD from hosting the show,” the second source said, adding that McCain’s new column is more political, and has, “nothing to do with gossip. She doesn’t care about what’s happening at ‘The View.’” The show continues to search for her replacement. -
Do you ever search for the hidden items in each BIZARRO comic? Above Dan Piraro's name is the # of items in that day's comic. In this one, the 5 are the piece of pie (bottom right), the K2 & stick of dynamite in the bush (lower left), the alien on the runner's shirt, and the eyeball in the bush atop the wall (top right).
