SpurLine is now Quadz. By the way, Wayne and I will be doing karaoke there Thursday night, 9-midnight. They're raising money for a guy who's participating in this year's AIDS Lifecycle ride from SF to LA. They'll be selling raffle tickets, and all the tips the karaoke host gets will be donated too. Hope you guys can join us!

Lovendino & I were going to resort hop (CC & INNdulge) and maybe go to SpurLine.

That’s one of my first stops after check-in Thursday. Looking forward to hanging out.

I've started preparing the marinades and sauces. I'll really get serious starting on Monday doing the prep work for the various food items. Don't set your expectations too high for the empanadas this is the first time I've made them and they just might be awful. They're frozen now and I'm bringing my deep fryer with me and will thaw them prior to frying them.

Sounds great. Perhaps a walk to the closest pot shop, and then chilling in the pool.

Learning a new recipe to be more inclusive of a few of us and taking all the work of preparing them and carrying them and the equipment to fry them, willing to expand a tradition and leave your comfort zone, they all are wonderful acts that speak loudly of your character. I will devour them.

There is no organized activities though it is likely that people are getting together. You will meet people at the pol and things will kind of develop. There seems to be something going on in PS every night so it may just be a matter of looking around. Of course you may just enjoy sitting around the pool talking to people over cock tails.

I had to start putting together the work packet for my students as I will be taking three days off (I know, I come back home on Monday, but I foresaw the need for a 24 hrs. recovery period), I already have an appointment with @VictorPowers , and I cannot wait for @Epigonos ' devil eggs and empanadas!

Liza Minnelli Will Auction Off A Massive Amount of Belongings, Including Personal Effects of Judy Garland

Liza with a Z is doing a “purge with a capital P” of her belongings, The New York Times reports. Star of stage and screen Liza Minnelli will be selling more than 1,900 items ranging from iconic wardrobe items to engraved baby cups to personal effects that belonged to her mother, Judy Garland, and her father, the director Vincente Minnelli. The sale will run through Profiles in History, a Southern California auction house that recently handled the estate of one of Hollywood’s most prolific memorabilia collectors, the icon Debbie Reynolds. “I woke up one day and thought, ‘Honey, you ain’t gonna wait till you’ve bought the farm and leave your life on someone else’s doorstep,’” Minnelli told The New York Times through an associate. “My life is a gift of flowing friendships and relationships, all collected in these objects. It’s with many emotions that I share them.”
 
Auction participants will be able to bid on clothes by Bob Mackie, Gianni Versace, Gucci, Isaac Mizrahi, Donna Karan, and elaborate pieces by Halston. Her mother’s belongings in the lot will include a paycheck Garland received from MGM Studios when she was just 13, scrapbooks, and 35-millimeter screening copies of her films. Other famous items will be put on display at The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills before they go up for sale. The “Love, Liza” exhibition (open now) will contain her one-of-a-kind Halston flapper dresses, Sally’s famous bowler hat from Cabaret along with an annotated shooting script from that movie, several large-format portraits taken by Annie Liebovitz, and even a $20,000 check made out to and endorsed by Andy Warhol. So, not quite things you could just find at the local vintage store.

You might mention before the session that last time you had a great time and the time went by so fast that it was not until you got outside did you realize that it had been more than two hours. At that point you might then say, since we had such a good time, perhaps we should book this for two hours. If he says yes, then fine, two and a bit. If he says no, then one hour it is and not a bit more.
