  1. I hire mainly masseurs, but from the number of flakes, not availables, and non-responses I have been getting, this is a little hard to believe, or the younger generation has a different mindset about work than mine, which is probably more the culprit.
  2. I am not saying don't offer 90 minute massages, offer both 60 and 90. Some providers offer 120 also.
  3. I agree with the don't do a hard sell. I will go even further, I don't like it when I am contacted after a massage at all. Sometimes I will get texts saying, please leave me a review. It comes off as desperate and makes me feel like, is this person not getting much business, why not? I would offer one hour massages. Some people are busy, and/or think one hour should be enough. The hour therapeutic massages I get are good enough for me. Hour and a half may be viewed as, oh, he wants to get more money out of me. The most important things to me are to be dependable, don't take an appointment if there is any chance you will cancel it (I know emergencies happen, but besides that, don't be cancelling appointments because your friend wants to have a drink with you at the last minute, for instance), and to be at least somewhat personable to the person during the appointment (before and after), don't make me feel like I am just a source of income for you. You don't have to talk during the massage or be over the top, but I need more than ten words during the entire encounter. Most of all give a great massage, which it sounds like you take seriously.
  4. George James Spa has done it for me. He uses the Vagaro software that can email you an official receipt.
  5. He asked me for my name and photo. When I refused the photo, he said he doesn't feel comfortable with strangers in his apartment without a face. He has had a couple of scary instances. He would work for a spa instead if he is worried about his security.
  6. It is hard, because a regular masseur I regularly see and enjoy cancelled on me three times in a row. I had known him for awhile to be dependable, but there was a stretch were there must have been some issues. I understand people go through problems, I am sympathetic, but if you have issues, you need to not take appointments...Eventually though, you have to cut the serial cancellers loose I think...
  7. I will draw the line at one thirty minute delay, after that, I know there is some deeper issue. Also, I will try not to schedule on weekends, people seem to be not available even if they say they are.
  8. I normally don't hire escorts as much as I hire masseurs. I know there are flakes both with clients and providers. I overheard my cardiologist tell his nurse, there were three no-show patients today. I read a thread discussing total flaking when someone is not responding, but the provider I was supposed to see tonight was responding. someone who is well reviewed on this message board. I asked for an appointment in the evening, and he gave me a time, I said ok. He texted me about an hour before the appointment asking if we could move it half an hour, I said ok. As the appointment time approached, he asked if we could move it another half an hour. I reluctantly said ok, but I told him I couldn't do any time after. Then I got a message later saying it wasn't going to happen tonight. I wasn't offered any excuse on why the appointment couldn't happen, like the subway was late, the super wanted to fix something, etc. After one delay, should I have just said, forget it? I have never met this provider before. I don't live in the city, so I literally can't wait all night. Also, this typically happens to me on Sunday afternoons/nights, I assume people are just out of town and can't get back into the city in time? They are hanging out with their friends, or with another client I assume? Also, when do providers normally want to work, M-F 9-5? I know it depends, but just for the sake of my time, weekend nights I get flaked on the most.
  9. I hire mostly masseurs, I know it could be a little different with escorts. I would never use an envelope. What I do is when the massage is over, I ask for the lights to be turned on, and then I take out the money and count it carefully before handing it over. Some masseurs want me to leave it on a table, some take it in their hand. They normally don't count it in front of me for the reasons specified in this thread (it looks petty for them to be counting the money, like they don't trust me, but some masseurs have told me of clients who stiffed them, payed less, etc.). I try not to use the apps for payment, it adds more time to the process, and the masseur learns my real name (I don't use an alias in the apps). I used to work for a bank on the Zelle team, the Zelle network sometimes goes down, and the transaction can get lost in the issue, which might take a day to be cancelled...Even sending a normal Zelle is not always instantaneous. It could be sent as standard speed instead of instant which takes a business day to come through. I would use Venmo before Zelle... I think I saw a couple masseurs suggested as friends on the Facebook feed, which I think may be them searching for me, they could use my phone number as well to search me, but they could search my real name?
  10. Vagaro is a system used by one of the masseurs in NYC who runs his own spa. You can book appointments online without having to text the masseur, he takes credit cards, gives receipts, etc. I agree, you shouldn't have to give him your name if you want to pay in cash, otherwise he would know your full name if paying electronically.
  11. He was shirtless and naked at the end the last time I saw him, see my post.
  12. $280 1 hr, $340 1.5 hr (I did 1.5 hr) $400 2 hrs.
  13. I went to him recently. Very good therapeutic massage, standard HE and MT. He hosted in a rented space near Union Square (not MMX).
  14. LIRR is faster than the subway if you are going to Penn Station.
  15. I went back, I got the Miami treatment described above. He must have gotten the memo.
  16. Try on WhatsApp. Our schedules did not align, so I did not see him.
  17. The studios I know about ,the masseur rents them out, not the client. You would need to rent a hotel room.
  18. Normally, the masseur is at least shirtless, so I don't encounter this situation often. I didn't get the sense for me that he wanted me touching him, which is fine. I appreciate he wants to keep it professional. Other guys are much more explicit that they are ok with me touching them, etc. The issue is, for what he is charging, there are other options in NYC that charge similar prices for erotic massages that are unambiguous in their allowances of how far to go. I have to draw the line on pricing somewhere. If he was the only option in a remote city, I would regularly see him. It was a great massage otherwise.
  19. Normally my rule is if the masseur doesn't undress, I assume he doesn't want to be touched, so I didn't. I remember my massage being very sensual, so I was confused why he didn't disrobe, even at the end.
  20. He was fully clothed for me too, but I wasn't draped. It was a great massage, and he is adorable, but I agree he shouldn't advertise with shirtless photos.
  21. I find the few good erotic masseurs in NJ tend to charge prices similar to Manhattan. I agree that masseurs in general don't appreciate negotiating the price, it raises red flags that they might not get paid if you are that worried about their price. $250 is a bit high, but even in Manhattan I am finding most people are charging $220, there are still some charging $200.
  22. Yes, would recommend. You can schedule your time on his website, and he will get back to you to confirm.
  23. I have seen him, I enjoyed it, but I don't think this is his primary occupation, the info above kind of bears it out.
  24. I am one of Jose's regulars. He has cancelled on me before too, but he is worth it to try again. Another masseur cancelled on me recently, and I gave him another chance. I am happy I did.
