It appears that coffee drinking (3 to 4 cups/day) is associated with both lower risks for heart disease and total mortality, at least in Italians. This means that it is OK to drink that much coffee per day and not risk cardiovascular disease. In other words, it can definitely be part of a healthy diet. Other countries may have already found this out (don't know) but it seems that the Italians have finally found it out. I am assuming this is meant facetiously. Canada has nearly 38 million people. According to the Fraser Institute, a well-respected Canadian think tank, estimated in 2017 that that the number of individuals leaving Canada for treatment elsewhere (generally the U.S.) is 64,000 people. This was for a variety of reasons but the main reason was because of waiting times for procedures. At the same time a 2016 study showed that 1.4 million Americans travelled abroad for medical treatment. I thought this was an interesting (and very informative) video regarding the Canadian system and American systems. The video is of a Senate Committee hearing held about 6 years ago. (about 6 min.)
