I think she is amazing in Angels in America. But almost all the performances in it are great. Loved Mary Louise Parker but I am a fan. The only one that bugged me was Al Pacino. I don't know why because it probably was close to the Roy Cohn.
As good as Meryl was in Angels I simply think of Mamma Mia (either one) and I seize up.
I felt the same way but perhaps it is an age difference. I felt sad because it was the emotion I felt for so long. However the feeling of liberation that one gets when the lovers no longer have to tolerate the conditions of the ship can make one feel liberated. A younger generation may not even no what gays went through in prior decades.
I was just referring to the lad cause I could see his "state of mind." Daddy did not seem to exhibit what I'd want to see to show me he wanted to get what his buddy was offering. But I bet he was.
