Great discussions all, but this dude still need to get his body massaged?.
Any kind of body work is sensual, intimate, energetic, you are touching, rubbing, breathing, most of the time nude or close to it, I need a therapist that I can click with energetically.
The way I look at it, we as clients have our own preferences too, we have the benefit to pick which therapist we prefer, we get to scrutinize the therapists before we decide, their skin color, body type, age, etc, etc... Let’s be fair, if we can say no to some therapists for whatever reason, therapists should be able to do the same to any clients for whatever reason as well. I just prefer to know if my therapist will have a problem beforehand. If it’s a problem I that’s fine, I will take my business somewhere else, no big deal.

Although I've had positive experiences with additional LA masseurs, here are some that indicate openness to various races, body types, etc. in their ads. I have some other masseurs in mind that I believe would be accepting of Asian men, but I would just be guessing based on my experiences (I'm Black).

I've found you don't even need to put your hands over the edge of the table. Just put your arms where they just hang over the edge a bit or are just at the edge where the guy could brush your arm. If i get one crotch brush it might be a mistake. If I get a second, he's probably good for some touching; I maybe start by brushing his leg or butt when it's convenient. If I feel his crotch pressing against my arm for a bit, I know the likelihood of his shorts coming off is really good.

FWIW...Drained Empty is unfortunately very correct here. I grew up in LA and the discrimination against Asians was more prevalent than against blacks.

That said, I think it is important to reveal everything about yourself that might be an issue with the escort. Communication is the key to any successful hire. If someone is going to be rejected because of ethnicity, I think that it should be done long before the door opens. Racism and bigotry is a fact of our society, I would much rather the subject be discussed before hand, to avoid any uncomfortable face to face meeting. Rejection from anyone is a terrible thing to go through, whether it is age, weight, race, or political views (yes that can be an issue also) I'm all for minimizing it at the earliest possible moment.

What happened with your masseur is terrible, Glee. That's my worst fear. You can just tell on someone's face when they're disgusted by your race. It's one of the worst feelings in the world.

Ironically, it's their problem and not ours. If they're truly professional they should work with clients of all shapes, sizes and colors, especially if they are masseurs and their bodywork is meant to be therapeutic.

I can understand if a client has open sores or a skin condition that could pose health risks, but being Asian is NOT a disease, even though some treat it as such. The entire energy changes and you put the blame on yourself.

I've come to accept social rejection based on my race, and now business (because that's what massage or escort service is) rejection as well.

It's a sad and depressing reality, but one that I can't change. I will continue to disclose my race, but only after the rate is stated so they can't raise it. And if they close a door in my face or don't touch me, so be it.

The masseur who allegedly doesn't like Asian clients is Grant (formerly Taylor) in Weho, according to his thread.

I had the experience of hiring an escort whose ad never mentioned that he was Asian American and did not show his face, so when I got to his hotel room, I was quite surprised at the fact that he had not been upfront about it. Reading your comments about how you feel discriminated against because you are of Asian descent, now makes me wonder if that was why he chose not to put that info in his ad. We never spoke of that specifically. Anyway, after my initial surprise, we had a pretty wonderful play session, even going out to dinner off-the-clock afterwards.

I did end up hiring him a number of times, not only enjoying our bedroom adventures, but also finding his history (he and his sister were adopted as infants from Korea by a well-to-do Midwestern family!) fascinating. He was also fun to talk with about how hot our waiter was as we were dining! I always had a great time with him. Alas, he retired a few years after we first met. I do feel quite bad (and a bit angry) that you feel discriminated against by so much of the gay community, though.
