    Aren't these the same pics that people who pay RM for a membership get to see anyway? If so, I'm pretty sure RM would frown on this kind of solicitation, if you reported it... Having said that, I got this same offer from a guy right here in the forum, so I suppose it's not all that strange.

    I'll say. From his site: My impression is the consensus here is against prepaying. But no one can say he doesn't have every question answered on his site, so that's points in his favor.

    If it had full disk encryption, like macOS FileVault or Windows BitLocker, there isn't much to worry about. If no FDE was running, you could attempt to remove the drive and destroy it some way. If it has a mechanical hard drive, that can be trashed with a strong magnet held very close. If it uses solid state storage, physically breaking the chips will render them unrecoverable.
