I was like 'Artic what?' At first, lol. The rates I'm watching are short term (3 months) since I don't want to lock in anything long term while rates are going up. Powell testified to Congress today and said (to the effect) that rates may have to go up more than they expected to tamp down the economy (to tame inflation).

Don't take my post as knowing anything about these studios. I have no idea if this is where MMX is or not (you might, tho). Just wanted to pass along that Alex is hosting there now, I'll be curious to see about Michael_fit...if this is his studio, too.

To answer my own question, his studio is on W14th (btw 5th & 6th) and is the one that had the fire, though the studio he uses was fine. And it has a shower. As far as Alex and the experience...wow, HOT! LOL.

I saw Alex at this place this week. You can definitely tell there was damage in the building since most of it is boarded up. The massage studio on the 3rd floor was fine, though...couldn't tell in the studio that there was any issues.

Latest buy is just a hair below 5% for the 3 month treasuries. Came out to 4.95% when I computed using compounding every quarter. The best regular 3 month CDs on Fidelity were listed at 4.65% (which comes out to 4.73% with quarterly compounding).

LOL, not all of us around here HAVE decades. edit: wasn't trying to insult anyone else, but I just passed the same age at which one of my parents died of cancer and, weirdly, I had some basel cell removed this year. Fate is pretty weird. Luckily the other parent lived for another 20 years.

Both Alex_NYC https://rentmasseur.com/Alex_NYC and Michael_fit https://rentmasseur.com/Michael_fit say they use a facility near where this was...do they both use this one? I don't see anything in their ads if that is the case.

I buy my T-bills through Fidelity. They have both the secondary and the treasury issue ones. The Treasury issues don't have a fee. I'm still doing 3-month bills and the rate is just above 4.7% now.

I've never been to this location, but don't several masseurs discussed around here use this space? So, far, a couple of the providers that I believe use it don't have anything in their ads. It would be nice to have a list.

WELL, that was quick! The account I posted about is no longer listed on their website and DoC says it is closed for new accounts. My account is still listed as the indexed account but I'm wondering if it is going to get rolled over to the regular savings account which is still listed (it's 4.25% rate isn't bad, though)...if that is even a possibility.

Huh, you made me go look at my Fidelity account and they have the term "partner bank", too which I have not seen (or more likely) noticed before. If I am reading it correctly, looks like it's earning around 4.07%, but it's not easy to decipher it all.
