I don't want my parents in their 80s to deal with it and I'll probably outlive them and don't want my sister (who is on disability) doing it and if I have the bank as the trustee it will mean paying them 10% of my net worth for a fee each year My parents have that kind of trust (they are past the five year look back) and I'm their trustee and if they go to sell their house I have to sign off on the deed, they moved some investments around and I had to sign and when they sold the gas company an easement last year I had to sign on that. I don't want anyone having to deal with my investments. And my lawyer made a great point when I did my estate work (and Suze Orman talked about it a few weeks ago) is that a private care nursing home is a lot better and since I have no kids to leave the money to, do I really want to spend my final years in a substandard medicaid nursing home .

First time I noticed this overseas, but I used an ATM in London a couple weeks ago and like a lot of credit card terminals, it gave me the option to have the charge done in british pounds or $USD. Aren't out anything switching it. Just make sure they upgrade the card and keep the number the same so your credit doesn't take a ding for having a new card and that card still shows up as your original open date since part of your credit score is based on how long you've had a card and your longest open card is reported.

I haven't heard of a HELOC being able to be lowered, I know a line of credit can. I just closed on a HELOC on my condo last week (hopefully I'll never have to use it but there are no fees and if I decide to buy a new condo I can write a check on the HELOC as a bridge loan until my current condo sells). I signed an open end mortgage that is recorded with the county recorder that states the amount of my HELOC. I thought they were really generous in the appraiasal but they never came into my unit and looks like they did a comparisson and my condo is one of the cheapest units in my building. One thing that sucks about a HELOC is you can't write off the interest unless it's being used for a home improvement But most people that would have to do a reverse mortgage probably aren't itemizing anyway

Depending on how long you plan to stay in your house and your life expendiancy a HELOC may be a better fit if you can afford the interest. Most Helocs you only pay the interest but the downside is it's adjusted monthly or quarterly. My bank doesn't charge a annual fee or any fees at all fora HELOC so I have one in place for emergencies. Most banks charged around $50 a year

Nope, I make a lot off my credit cards Just know how to use them correctly I get things like lounge access and free primary rental car insurance coverage and protection on lurchases with my credit cards and can keep my diamond status on delta which saves me over $10000 in international upgrades using the certificates and has gotten me quite a few domestic upgrades for free. Just have to be respnsible

I worked in title insurance for years and we would get title insurance orders sometimes and the two owners that are both real estate lawyers didn't care for them. I'd only do it as a last resort and if you really want to stay in the home. It's hard to get one on a condo and there are a lot of restrictions involved and you are still resonsible for making the tax and HOA and insurance payments. And every reservse mortgage I did was on a house owned free and clear. If you own the house free and clear I would just sell it and downsize

Friend of mine saw Seth perform with someone and felt the same way and said like with Chita he wanted to be the star of the show instead of the accomoniast.. I can just imagine what one of his Broadway cruises would be like. I love the Sirius broadway channel and some of the interviews he can be iritating as well. I love his "dueling divas" show he does on Saturday with Chrstine Pedi. I'd love to see one of Christine Pedi's live performances but she always does them during the week. Her Youtube videos doing the impersonations are great and I enjoy listening to her in the morning on Sirius.

Saw it Sunday. Really recomend it if you are in NYC before it closes but I love Ben Platt. He was great in the part and is based ona true story.
