  1. Very risky right now. Wish I would have shorted a few stocks last week. I always feel a little guilty shorting stocks though since that means you want the company to do bad. Sort of like betting against your favorite team.
  2. I think almost every industry will be impacted financially Escorts could be really impacted though if they are working under the table and won't be able to get unemployment if that's there only job. If Trumps stimulus package is like W's was and requires you had taxable income they'll lose out on that as well (I'd gladly give up that money, even if it was a LOT more than that to get my money back I've lost on my portfolio since this has started)
  3. I feel sorry for escorts into kink/leather scenes. Claw and IML are two huge events that have been postponed that have to be big money making events for escorts. Really sad about CLAW, I'm only a couple hours from Cleveland and an escort I have played with a few times was going to be a CLAW and I was planning on making a day trip to cleveland to play.
  4. My building has a small work out area and my building is leaving it open for now for our residents. It doesn't get used much because it's small and the equipment is older and our residents that exercise all have gym memberships but seeing all the gyms are ordered closed it is getting quite a bit of use lately. We have a bottle of disenfecting spray and asking residents to spray down the machines before and after they use the machines. Our building is condos and I heard a building down the street that is all rentals closed their fitness center off. I'm hoping the fitness center can stay open and well be able to use our rooftop deck. We only had the building cleaned once a week but now are having it cleaned three times a week and our cleaning guy appreciates the extra work since he does a lot of offices and they suspended his service with their offices closed. I'm on the condo board and the other people on the board and myself are taking turns cleaning the elevator and wiping down the stairwell railings and all common area doors on the day our cleaning guy doesn't come in. Our units are either occupied by the owners or by renters who are required to have a one year lease and be approved by the condo board and an individual can only own one unit in our building and we are requiring any new owners to live in their units and not allowing them to be used for investment purposes so no idea if the renters will ask for a discount if we closed the deck or workout areas. If anything the condo dues will go up due to the additional cleaning expenses.
  5. We had our first death in Ohio today and I dealt with the person years ago at my prior job a couple times. Ironic thing is his son is a huge trump supporter and head of the local republican party headquarters. Not a big fan of our governor but am impressed at how well he is handling this. Our hamburger Mary is staying open for dinner and providing car hop service to your car by two drag queens. Ordered from them tonight and they were a lot of fun and were very appreciative of the support of the local community. Was nice not having to get out of my car in the rain (they have a canopy you drive under so no one got wet). It's nice being able to help out one gay establishment.
  6. I would have bought the same amount though even if we weren't in this crisis. I bought it because it was on sale for a decent price and it doesn't go bad, not to horde it. Same with the TP I have. I bought it a while back when it was on sale at Costco because it was a great price and never goes bad and really glad I made that purchase now:)
  7. People really are going nuts. I always order my cat litter online and Sam's had it onsale for a good price so I ordered more than I typically do and joked with my sister that people might start hording that since toilet paper was so hard to find. My cat breeder posted a photo of the pet section of a store she was at showing all the cat liter sold out and Sam's is sold out of a lot of brands online as well:) People are really going nuts if they are hording pet supplies. I just ordered enough canned and dry cat food to last me two months in case people start hording that next. I think some people get a kick of hording stuff in short supply.
  8. Our governor wanted to postpone tomorrow's voting day to June but it was denied by a judge. It makes a lot of sense seeing they want people to stay home, especially those over 65 and most poll workers are retired people who should't be around large crowds. I went to Costco and Kroger tonight to stock up and will be only shopping for at least a week. Neither store was as busy as I thought they would be. Only thing I wasn't able to buy was an onion or can of tomato paste to make tomato soup so no soup for me this week. I needed bleach and they had a couple of the small bottles of clorox left. At Costco the only thing they were out of was rostaisairre chickens. Costco had a whiteboard up at the entrance stating what they were out of and I know bleach, TP, paper towels and clorox wipes were lsted.
  9. The tatoos and ear piercing are a total turnoff for me and he looks older than 36.
  10. I was able to find bananas this afternoon at a gas station of all places. I went into the Circle K by my condo this afternoon to grab a soda and they some fresh fruit and had bananas three for $1. I bought three since I'm a diabetic and like to eat one before exercising so my blood sugar doesn't plummet (hopefully my gym will stay open). Not sure why people are hording those since you are lucky to get a weeks shelf life from them,
  11. That's what I find so funny about U of M cancelling classes the rest of the semester. A lot of the students are staying in ann arbor and don't have to go to class because of a fear of spreading it but have no issues going to a crowded bar which will spread it a lot faster. I decided to go to Red Robin tonight to use my free birthday burger coupon before they had to close at 9 and sat at the bar. My bartender told me her brother is a musician who gives lessons and supplments his income by being in a local band and driving for uber. Outside of doing Uber (and she said with the bars closed he'll have practically no rides) he is going to be without income for a while since his band plays at bars and none of his positions offer unemployment insurance:(
  12. They'll almost have to allow carry out to continue. There's also people who are driving long distances that will have to eat that will have no way to prepare food. As much as I despise our governor this is a smart move on his part. One of his aids that spoke encouraged people to patronize takeout and delivery to help keep people employed and to help cut down on the congestion at grocery stores. Sucks for the places that were depending on St Pat sales but the state is allowing bars and restaurants to return unopened excess liquor and kegs purchased for st pats day for a full refund and is also waiving the one week waiting period for unemployment for food service and bar workers unemployed due to this. My chase saphire credit card includes a $60 door dash credit and also waives the delivery fee on orders over $15 so I may be putting that benefit to use. Figures I just received an email for a free birthday burger from Red Robin and it's for dine in only LOL. Maybe I'll go there tonight for my "final meal"
  13. I'm ok with closing dining rooms. Just hoping restaurants stay open and don't decide to close since they aren't making enough off carry out. I'd be fine with everything closed if people weren't hording all the groceries. Places will have to stay open for take out though. THere's a lot of people in hotel rooms without kitchens that need to eat and people on long drives will needs to eat something.
  14. Our governor in Ohio just ordered all restaurants closed at 9 p.m. tonight. At least carryout and delivery is still allowed and opening a lot of restaurants stay open since the grocery stores are so low on food. At least I'm only a few minutes from the Michigan border as long as they don't close their restaurants.
  15. Yeah my homemade humus tasted the same with the presqueezed but it only takes a half lemon to make and enjoy using the other half cut up over a couple days in water and the presqueezed stuff is nothing like a fresh lemon slice in a glass of water. Fortunately they did still have fresh limes. I love pisco sours and you need fresh lime juice for that not presqueezed.
  16. This is really getting out of hand. Decided to make humus tonight and needed lemon juice and the mexican grocery store a couple blocks from my house said they sold out of lemons yesterday. WTF????? I ended up having to buy the presqueezed crap/
  17. All the grocery stores here are out of eggs, bread and bananas and onions and some are out of milk. Why would people horde that stuff? Milk and eggs have a short shelve life so even if there is a shortage you can't freeze eggs. Fortunately the farmer's market vendors I like to buy bread and eggs from anyway (i've gotten spoiled by farm fresh eggs and try to eat hers instead of store bought) and both were there. The lady that I buy eggs from had a limit of two dozen eggs. She told me a lady from a small city about 50 miles away was pissed off because she wanted to buy 25-dozen eggs to take back to give to neighbors LOL. She thought since she drove that far they should make an exception to the limit and she refused to budge and say it was a two dozen limit per customer.
  18. I'm wondering if IML will get cancelled. I see the are meeting Monday to discuss what to do. That is a huge money maker for Chicago
  19. This is getting fucking crazy, I wanted to make a pasta dish for supper tonight and the stores are all sold out of spaghetti.
  20. I wonder if church's will make changes. An Episcopal rector in DC was infected and their organist tested positive and is being quarinteened for a couple weeks. The rector shook hands with a bunch of people and served communion. In the episcopal church the rector would handle either the bread or communion wafers and we use a common chalice for the wine. I always dunk my bread but had me thinking churches should be telling all their members to start using this method instead of drinking from the chalice.
  21. Not sure how a buffet is any more dangerous than any other restaurant. I wonder if the Detroit MGM buffet is shut down as well. That's the only MGM buffet I go to and I haven't been to that one in a few years. I received an email from Caesars yesterday about the changes they are making and if their employees go to one of the areas they are recommending to avoid they aren't allowed to work for three weeks after they return home from vacation to be sure they aren't infected.
  22. Costco had a limit of two cases of bottled water but was per brand, so you can buy two cases of Kirkland water, two cases of polar spring, etc but a real pain in the ass since I was buying it for my office for normal consumption and we go through about a case a day. I was in Vegas last weekend and got an amazing deal at Paris. There were a lot of people on the street but casinos were quiet and no wait at all for the Paris buffet which usually has a long line.
  23. He hasn’t done any porn on kink for a while either
  24. What pisses me off is all these spam callers who spoof their numbers to be local numbers. I only have a cell and wish caller ID would show the caller name instead of just the number and the city. I am job hunting right now and don't want to miss a call from a potentional employer and if it's a true emergency about a family member the hospital, etc will call not text. I wish there was a law against spoofing a phone number from a telemarketer to be a local number and require robo calls and telemarketers to have a phone number that is in the area code they are calling from.
  25. I'm actually going to vegas thursday for a few days and having trouble finding someone to hire. Everyone seems to be out of town this weekend:(
