Pic 2 is not adding value imo, showcase your smile more, have someone take some candid shots of you (find someone on Grindr if you don’t have a friend who takes solid pics)

Not much about your ad stands out really - it hits on the standard buzz words, but I don’t feel like it says a lot about who you are / what your personality is like. If you’re in a particularly crowded market (LA), you’ve gotta find a way to stand out from the tons of other ads. I think a little personal interview video could be a good place to start in addition to some candid shots.

If you would like some other hints, message me / send me a text, my ad is linked on my profile

Not a common practice in the m4m world - so infrequent it can easily be avoided by just finding another provider who doesn’t request one

I’m glad others are realizing plant-based / vegan diets are not necessarily healthy. I’ve been fully vegan going on three years but following an artery cleansing low fat diet, consuming less than 25 grams of fat daily (as close to 0 saturated fat as possible) promoted by Dr. Ornish and other lifestyle medicine practitioners.

know how much water it takes raising beef and pigs?

a majority of soy in this country (and also that grown in the Amazon) is grown TO FEED ANIMALS, especially cattle - not only do you require water for growing the feed crops, the animals take tons of water themselves

    ??‍♂️...

Also, you eat fruits and veggies, in addition to your insatiable thirst for animal carcasses so you are - by definition - an omnivore

The cholesterol listed on the impossible whopper on the BK website comes from the mayo, which vegans have them leave out.

There are no plant sources of cholesterol afaik

Meat and dairy are heavily subsidized, which I think is why they cost less - Big Meat / Big Dairy lobbies are strong.

thermodynamically, it just doesn’t make sense that eating food we feed to animals could be more expensive than eating the meat from the animals

The price of plant-based meat replacements will continue to go down as big meat suppliers like Tyson are getting into the game to cash in on this new trend. I don’t think it is a fad, as young people are faced with the realities of the environmental destruction caused by factory farming. This is a part of the future that I look forward to :-)

Beyond > Impossible, imo, but I’m with @FreshFluff in preferring legume / nutty types of burgers - sunflower beet burgers at a raw restaurant near me are top notch

Good choice! Oliver Sacks is an amazing doctor and writer. I think my favorite is Anthropologist on Mars, particularly the title essay which is such an empathetic and compelling portrait of what it's like to be autistic by profiling the world-renowned animal sciences professor Temple Grandin. But all of his essays are so interesting, writing about strange medical conditions not simply to gawk but to provide actual solutions and empathy towards the people who have them.

Using an anecdote to shred the science... is not good science

I think @PapaTony is a bit off on his percentage number, but his thesis still holds that lifestyle is the major contributor to CvD

It sounds like you can just say something like “I appreciate your input, but I’m not looking to change careers at this time”

I also don’t think that there is this binary that you’re speaking of where you’ll automatically have to be “an employee” because you’re no longer escorting. Lots of people are their own bosses and don’t have a traditional cog-in-the-wheel type of job

I find that the people in my life who know what I do are generally pretty supportive because they’ve seen how unhappy I was in the grind of my original career choice and how much better I am now. If there are friends or clients or otherwise who you tend to vent to a lot about the negatives, it might be natural for them to suggest another path.

I get suggestions about leaving the biz from time to time, but it doesn’t really bother me because I know what my life and my peace of mind was like before, and I don’t think it really needs much explaining.
