That would be an awesome adventure. Added to my bucket list, a night in their huge "glamping" dome.......And the FOOD....OMG !
 
They sure do pull off some amazing events, and everything they create is with Love.

That couple is awesome. I want to visit the chateau for a few days at some point. They're an absolute hoot.

I would agree with all you said. I would like to know from where these people get their energy?!

Does anyone else watch this show ? It focuses on a British couple that move to France after puchasing a Grand, old and abandoned chateau with moat, and several auxilliary structures for $386 K and transform it back to its original grandeur but for modern times.....
 
Its fascinating what this couple takes on and achieves, and all the obstacles they have to overcome. And the Chateau is magnificent, and owbers are talented and created, and their kids are adorable. And the narration is soothing and calming.
 
Its an enjoyable watch for a Saturday nite....

Because of this thread I now e-mail a good friend every morning and he e-mails me back. Have traded emergency contact #'s , next of kin, etc.

Update Friday, March 12th. I sent the social worker a few additional names of associates of daddy’s. Hopefully, these leads can turn up someone related to him or someone who might have POA. Thanks to those sending me this information.
 
Daddy’s condition remains the same. No change from Wednesday’s report.
 
It’s now over 2 weeks since the police found daddy on the floor of his home. Other than keeping him in our thoughts, prayers, or sending good karma, we just have to patiently wait for the healing/recovery process to kick in.
 
I truly appreciate all the concern and love you’ve shown for daddy/Guy Fawkes. He means a lot to us. I’ll do my best to keep you posted.

Latest update: Called the hospital on Sunday, 3/7. Daddy is still in ICU. His most recent covid test came back negative. One more test is required to confirm. He remains sedated and on a ventilator. An attempt to wean him off the ventilator and wake him up was unsuccessful. I’ll keep you posted if anything changes.
 
I’ve heard from so many members expressing a concern for daddy and thanking me for helping out. Your kind & thoughtful words are most appreciated. Please keep daddy in your thoughts and prayers.

I certainly can understand the interest the membership has in receiving updates on daddy’s health. Sadly, as of today, there has been no change. He’s being kept sedated as he recovers from covid.
 
I realize this thread has gotten very long and perhaps some of you missed my last update where I mentioned if anything changes I’ll let you know immediately.
 
Again, your kind words & concern for daddy are most appreciated. Hopefully, he’ll soon be able to read them.

My suggestion is to hold off on sending anything as Daddy cannot appreciate them at this time and it would only burden a hospital staff already stretched due to COVID.

Let's just remember that that vast majority of hospitalized COVID patients are able to recover and that number keeps getting better. One recent article said that the mortality rate of hospitalized COVID patients is 3.7 percent, so more than 96 percent are recovering (and that number has improved drastically since the start of the pandemic and very well could have improved even more. There are stories of people recovering after being on a ventilator a week, 10 days, even 20 days. So let's keep those hopes and prayers going folks.

Just wanted to throw in another word of thanks for @Cooper for his work on this.

I know this is a dumb question, but since I keep my cell phone turned off unless I need to make a call or send a text (I still have a landline in my apartment), but am always on my desktop computer, can you download and use apps from one? I go a few days at a time without talking to anyone (except myself).

Sincere thoughts and prayers for @Guy Fawkes. It's refreshing and uplifting to see friends and acquaintances show concern, and also provide significant and meaningful aid - even from hundreds/thousands of miles away. And the added complications of Covid. I echo the hopes of a previous poster for benefits from improved treatments. Blessings.

I want to commend Cooper for his diligence in tracking down Daddy and making sure he was alright. Someone lying on the floor for hours can develop kidney failure and it may turn into quite an serious issue. I believe Cooper may have saved Daddy's life.
I think we should all have someone who speaks to us each day and knows how to reach us , especially someone like Daddy with diabetes.
So if there are any others out there who can go days without speaking to anyone, please make a contact and protect yourself. There may not be a Cooper in your life that will come looking for you if you do not prepare ahead of time.
