That would be strange as he specifically mentions rimming in his ad. Are you sure it isn't just YOU he didn't want near his ass?

Side piece or escorts to keep relationship going?
+ robear replied to Frenchjuris's topic in The Lounge
Agree that communication with your partner is key. If it does mean you open your relationship, PLEASE be clear to any potential "sidepieces" from the start that that is the role on offer, nothing more. Far too many men out there pretending to be single when they are anything but. -
No, a clean male butthole has an intoxicating masculine musky scent, especially if it's been a while since the last shower. If you're into the natural scent of men, it's the pot of gold.

Following!! Could you share some of your favorites??

His extensive filmography includes many "daddies." Not the same thing as a personal encounter, of course, but I'm pretty sure he has no issues with anyone's age.

Twitter wasn't born in a day, either. It had to reach a critical mass before becoming a must-have. Founded within Twitter, BlueSky separated in 2021 and has been largely moribund since. Yes Twitter still has a massive user base, although probably unknowable what that represents, between porn, politics, culture, bots, etc. Long ago stopped even checking my "clean" Twitter account since most posters of interest to me have decamped to other outlets since the muskrat invasion, if not to BlueSky then Threads, Substack, etc. The only reason I see to keep that open for now is if somebody I like announces a BlueSky account. Will probably keep my porn account as long as it's fun (I follow 3,748 accounts there, yes I'm a pig), but several of my favorites there have announced the addition of BlueSky to their portfolios, if not a complete transition. As others have said, you can do both. Some want to herald a kind of mass exodus for political reasons, I don't think it much matters, but for now the BlueSky environment offers a much more positive experience than the toxic cesspit that Twitter has become.

There's no profit like non-profit. Dubious use of funds and outright malfeasance are hardly limited to niche charities like LGBT+ or BLM, it occurs regularly on a much grander scale at more mainstream non-profits. (And lets not even get started on "churches.") Of the 3 instances cited by OP, 2 seem to be outright fraud, the third involving dubious expenditures at the much larger, long established GLAAD. I always check Charity Navigator before giving, as it evaluates charities with a standardized methodology. Far from perfect, and additional research is needed, but still a good overview. CN gives GLAAD a top 4-star rating, but also links to the NYT piece, and a response from GLAAD. https://www.charitynavigator.org/

Thank you for this, I'll check into it further. My current Med D plan "covers" PrEP, but requires nearly $1K/month copay. Instead I get 3 months of generic Truvada at Cost Plus Drugs for $36. The caveat here might be determining which pharmacies, retail or mail order, will process a Med B claim. But still it's good information and a step forward.

Got COVID vax #8 a few weeks ago, all of them Pfizer. In the past I have always had a bit of a reaction the next day, nothing major, just a few hours of feeling generally lousy that lifts as suddenly as it comes on. Oddly, this time I had no discernible reaction at all. All I can think is by now I've become so inured to the vax that my bod doesn't even bother. As I'm now in the every-six-months cohort, that is a very good thing.

From the CDC website: "Currently, CDC recommends only a single dose of RSV vaccine for all adults ages 75 and older and adults ages 60-74 with increased risk of severe RSV disease."

Sorry you had such startling advice from a long-trusted provider. I do hope if you even think of following his directive, you will as they say "do your research" or get a second opinion. He's clearly at odds with the vast majority of the medical/research establishments, and the "information being suppressed" trope puts him into tin-hat territory. I'm not a professional, but it's well known that like all vaxes, COVID can cause very rare reactions (although a cancer connection is new to me, and I can't readily find anything that even discusses that online, again tin-hat territory). Hundreds of millions of doses have been administered safely. What we absolutely do know is how devastating severe COVID can be, and the implications of "long-COVID" are still not well understood. I saw my own PCP this week, who told me consensus is that the current COVID vax is only really good for about 6 months, which is why it's now recommended bi-annually for 65+, who are most at risk. That somewhat explains the bump in new cases this summer, as most folks had their last shot a year ago. Booked mine for next Monday.

Not much to contribute here, Simon, but I will say a veteran provider wrote off NYC stops when he lost his long-time deal for a shared apt. Nevertheless, he did come back to a Sonder space, a full apartment in a residential building which he described as "affordable." Take that as you will, but you might check options on their website for markets that interest you.

So a week ago I had robotically-assisted laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair. Gotta say I'm impressed!! Post-op, nothing but the mildest discomfort. I'm only taking naproxen and acetaminophen, as prescribed. Except for a somewhat distended belly, and swelling and discoloration further down (the boys are huge, and a lovely shade of charcoal grey), I wouldn't know they'd done anything. I'm avoiding the gym on principle, but otherwise can do pretty much everything. The first surgeon I saw proposed an open approach, which would have left me with a 4" incision. The outcome would have been the same, but he said recovery would take 4+ weeks, and require opioid painkillers. As it happened, he fell ill and I was bounced to one of his colleagues who likes the new toys. So I need a new knee next. While it's a drastically different procedure, def looking for those "minimally-invasive, robotically-assisted" surgeons.

It's a good bet that anyone who has had more than a few sex partners will be a carrier of the HSV-2 ("genital") virus. Overall adult population estimates are 1 in 6, but that general population of course includes many people who have had very few or no sex partners. It often produces no noticeable symptoms. Condoms help, but can't fully prevent transmission. Outbreaks can be treated with acyclovir if needed, but there is no cure. Your doctor can order a blood test to see if you are positive, but what will you do with that information? Echoing Charlie above, in the disco-era 70s, herpes was a somewhat sensational topic in the media, an STI that couldn't be cured!! And of course it affected straight people, so "something had to be done!" A few years later, HIV said "hold my beer." https://www.cdc.gov/herpes/about/index.html

I've mentioned this series elsewhere on this forum. Having listened to several, can attest that they are generally much too long and unfocused, and I've ditched several of them halfway through. As in "real life," some of Collins' guests are natural raconteurs and engaging on their own for the duration. I do find it interesting, however, to hear from some of they guys I've watched fuck so many times without ever hearing their voices, lol. A few that I've found listenable and interesting (reflecting my taste in porn, of course) are Will Angell, Seattle Dad, Lance Charger, Kristofer Weston, Dale Savage, Liam Angell, Cain Marko, Rick Kelson. It's the older guys who have more interesting life stories to tell (on their own terms, of course), with porn often being a second or third career. Most of Collins' guests (to date he has done 111 of these) I've never heard of and have no real interest in, but occasionally I listen in on a new one who's on my radar.

I'm sorry this happened to you. Unfortunately, in this hobby there are creeps, scammers and cons on both sides of the exchange, comes with the territory I guess. The topic of prepayment or deposits to providers has been extensively chewed over on this forum. You're new here (welcome!). I suggest searching and reading some of the many many threads on the topic. The takeaway, I think, is that in the M4M world of hiring, many prospective clients consider a request for prepayment a major red flag and won't do it. Requiring payment upfront may significantly impact your business.

Curious if the Twitter you are following is "eddiepatrickxxx" or some other variant. That Twitter is linked on his Insta and has a blue check indicating he pays to verify the account. However anybody can use a different variant of his name to spoof him.

Mandatory Gratutity - Am I being unreasonable?
+ robear replied to + DynamicUno's topic in The Lounge
A wrinkle in the "suggested gratuity" calculations is that sometimes they are done on the cost of food and drinks PLUS tax. In NYC, restaurant tax is 8.875%, a significant addition to the check. Including that amount in the tip calculation, whether you do it yourself or use the "suggestion" significantly bumps up the tip. -
Along this theme, Jason Collins has an extensive list of "Porn Star Confessions" on his YouTube channel. I've listened to some (not much reason to actually watch the split screen video) and found them interesting for the "real world" glimpses of the lives of pornies. Caveats, I never heard of a lot of his guests, naturally, he's not IMO a great interviewer, mostly letting guests just ramble freely, and the format often runs to 1+ hrs, waaaay too much of some folks who are just not that interesting. Also, some of his guests are engaged and articulate, some are ... not. All that said, I've picked through for the "stars" I know and enjoy, and have found the discussion enlightening. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEeFrGuqyLL3uDWKEpmOYMOE2JuY3ECzi

I think paying *and tipping* in advance may be muddying the waters here. I always pay after, with the base rate already in an envelope. As appropriate, I then add twenties from my wallet before handing it over. It's then clear to the provider what's what. In your case, I would remind the provider about my boundaries before each session, but not pay him until after, making clear the tip is for a job well done as requested.

How Common is Sleep Apnea? Do People Tolerate the Masks Well?
+ robear replied to + Lucky's topic in Men's Health
I've used a CPAP for several years, took to it right away and don't like sleeping without it. I take that as an indication my body likes it, too. Important to realize there are many different options for masks, and a new patient should insist that the doctor/equipment supplier make changes as necessary until the right mask is found. I'm currently using the ResMed Airfit N20, which is a nasal mask with pretty substantial headgear, but because I toss a lot it keeps the mask on securely. But that's me. Bonus for folks with sleep partners, a properly functioning CPAP should greatly cut down on snoring and other night noises. -
SA, I know you mean well, but you are making assumptions that probably don't hold up for many of the guys who work in "spas." First, that they have a space to host clients in NYC, much less in Manhattan. Second, running an online ad requires a credit card or bank account to pay the fee. It's not likely that many of these guys have such a thing. Finally, as has been discussed here many times, some guys may need to stay "under the radar" for immigration reasons, or worse, are beholden to a "handler" of some kind who holds their passport and calls the shots. Going freelance would be a big step for someone who perhaps is not fluent in English, or confident in being able to negotiate terms with a client. The spas have the space and a more-or-less reliable flow of customers. Yes, the money sucks for them, but it realistically may be the only viable option for many who work in them.

I saw a provider recently who booked his space in NYC with Sonder. Like airbnb but they control the properties they rent. Was positive about the experience and said it wasn't too expensive. Not sure what that meant to him, but you could check it out. https://www.sonder.com/
